WHY can't you all just find positive qualities in both versions to like? Does having strong feelings for one version trump the other? NO. Keri brings vulnerability and innocence and honest truth- she makes us believe she really will be there for the one she is singing to. Kelly demands you to stop and take a listen. Like she is singing to the entire nation or a country of poverty stricken children...she breathes an empowering anthem of hope. BOTH tasks are far from easy. PRAISE BOTH
i definitely agree with the ones who are saying that KERI's version is better. i do think her voice portrays the amount of hurt that the song is about.

I love Kelly's version (I just listened to it about 25 times in a row! LOL), but this one is amazing in its own way too. Keri Noble's writing is just friggin' unreal. This song is killer! And Kelly truly brought new life to the song. But I say don't compare... just enjoy each for its individual beauty and the passion with which each woman sang it. :)

Keri has such a colorful and soulful voice - I'm curious though - what do you think that this song is about? a breakup? what are 'tbe bombs exploding"? what is the big rejection this song weaves around wondering who will listen? ...always wanted to know all the many times I've listened to this particular Keri Knoble song from her earliest days

Also, I love the end where things really take off, I always get chills. But I do agree w/ one thing, her live version will be 1000000 times better :).

Took a generic pop song and then created a STUNNING live version on the next CD simply by making it simpler and sticking to what matters.

but i think kelly catches the emotion whilst singing it well.
keri sounds as if shes cryingg; i know thats emotion for this song but its a bit too off chord for me
