  • did not anbody see cryengine 3 is cinema. thats it clear winner.

  • My god CryEngine 3 looks fantastic. It's amazing to see real-time rendering that looks better than things rendered by God.

  • I find this video easy to masturbate to.

  • 1:21 I KNOW APERTURE SCIENCE WAS BEHIND SOMETHING!! >:D

  • gimme that car

  • holy motherfucka

  • so much for all the hype over unreal 4

  • Well, anybody can tell me, why Alcatraz, or Prophet or who the hell why needs a car? "Maximum Speed" then he runs away... Easier than buy a car.

  • cool but consoles are no were close to matching that. Hell alot of gaming pcs would need a upgrade just to run the engine.

  • HOLY ! ....MY GOSH

  • DAYUM this was well-optimized. Runs very well on my MacBook Pro, and I don't drop below 25FPS on my dual-5770 desktop either.

  • WHY IS THIS NOT IN 1080P!?

  • i dont care about shit, said nothing about dx11 or tessellation so FUCK THEM

  • Unreal Engine 3 > Cry Engine 3

    Check it out...

  • @a55kika18 Obvious troll is obvious. LMFAO!

  • @a55kika18 More like Cry Engine 3 > Unreal Engine 3. Cry Engine 3 had all of those before Unreal those.

  • @Superduperhog

Are you kidding? Have you seen the "Samaritan" demo?

I do like Cry Engine but they pissed me off with the cry engine 2 which totally suckeD! Cry Engine 1 was better in every aspecT!They could've done better...Cry Engine 3...i dunno...Have yet to see the character details...

  • @a55kika18 Uh what, I head the "Samaritan" demo is running on a Tri-Way SLI which is extremely exaggerated for a typical gamer computer. Unlike CryEngine it can run on so much more computers and still achieve more performance while keeping nice visuals.

  • Why do you need real-time for cinema?

  • 64 antialiasing in this demo

  • @Anton1987RU O GOD MAH VRAM

  • I play crysis 2 with extreme setting and it's still not as good as this vid, that is a proof that crysis 2 are not using maksimum capability of cry engine 3, couse it has been compromise with console capability. so there is a great downgrade here all because console port. console port only make the game worst. suck it

  • It will be a console game.

  • Been playing Crysis 2. Cannot believe how beautiful the game looks and how amazingly well it's running at full settings on my machine that could barely run Crysis 1 on full settings. I know technically the graphics probably aren't as good as the first Crysis...but I think Crysis 2 is a prettier game. The use of light is so impressive and the atmosphere is palpable. Amazing work Crytek. Hats off.

  • Sandbox 3 wasnt included in the full release..but it WAS included in the leaked "BETA"...

Take from that what you want..

  • Question. Has anyone outside of Crytek itself ever used Cryengine for their game? And that's not me being sarcastic. I actually want to know.

  • @xAfroMetalHead1990x Cryengine 2 is heavily used in academics to teach game design, it was popular among indie designers as well ( though projects dont come to mind ) but since the release of Unreal Development Kit ( UDK ) which is basically a free Unreal engine with some restrictions, Cryengine's user-base had a severe hit.

  • @Medifro Ok thanks dude, and yeah every other game that comes out these days uses unreal tech, but now i know why. They're giving it away? No wonder everyone uses it hahahah

  • @xAfroMetalHead1990x there's actually a free version of Cryengine 2 released only for the modding community, which is the reason you'll see all kind of different mods on Crysis, not games like UDK. Just something i forgot to say lol

  • @xAfroMetalHead1990x NCsoft made an MMO called aion with the engine but thats really all i can think of.

  • Freaking amazing you can link straight to maya and get real time results without any model compiling?

  • Wait so are the graphics in Crysis 2 going to be like this?

  • IRON MAN QUALITY visuals here....

except i have a problem with the look of mocap animations--no subtlety, in any of these engines' animations!?

  • Does that mean we can get a super cool car in crysis 2?

  • Is this going to be a separate tool from the standard development kit?

  • The demo runs smooth with two HD6870 running Crossfire, maxed out everything on 1920 x 1200. Which to me proves it is a lot better programmed than the original. The original is a great game, just very demanding to run smoothly which is partially because of bad programming.

  • @RadicalRaid

The original Crysis ran much faster for me than the demo did.

  • @RadicalRaid yea I got on average 45 FPS on my GTX 470 on the demo on Hardcore setting. Crysis on Max I get around that so yea, its a lot better coded lol

  • Comment removed

  • ive actually tried running this game on a oced 5670 and it runs maxed out in dx9 at 22fps stable so its way less demanding than crysis 1

  • ive actually tried crysis 2 demo at max settings and i get 22fps so this is much less demanding crysis and better than warhead

  • lolzor that buggy ''realtime'' demo won't be done by a household pc for at least another 2-4 years. Maybe a ps5 will run it rofl.

    Crysis2 demo is fun though

  • love the music that starts at 1.29

  • now that the Radeon HD 6990 is out I would like to see how it will handle this game

  • I'm gonna install Crysis 2 and my PC will say "Why do you want to torture me ?!"

  • @Danilko100 Actually from what I've heard Crysis 2 will be LESS resource-intensive than Crysis 1 and Warhead. This is excellent for me, as I can play Crysis 1 on medium settings on my AMD Athlon 2.5 GHz Dual-Core with 8 Gigs of RAM and an Nvidia Geforce GTS-250. If you've got comparable stats, or better, you should be good to go.

  • Please make a sandbox game with the cry engine 3

  • great. now i needa buy 4 GTX560's. my shithouse 9800gt will get fried on this game in minimum settings.

  • I love @ 1:35 the character on screen is looking all badass and the guy doing the mocap is grinning and stuff.

  • Crysis 2 looked like shit, this on the other hand

  • @Praylv crysis 2 til now is only dx9 on "middle-high" even if you choose "hardcore"

  • @CrimnlBT Well crysis 1 and warhead managed to look amazing even with dx9, and dx10 was only for advanced motionblur. But yea, that sucks fhow crysis 2 was "stripped"

  • @Praylv No one has seen the dx10 or 11 versions of crysis 2 yet for pc. The demo was only 9

  • @jeremywkx Well, directx 10 or 11 possibly cant change anything much, unless they'll include higher quality settings for those rendering modes

  • shut the fuck up you cunt crappers.

  • soundtrack is very similar to one from the Unreal Tournament 99

  • HOLY FLAMING DICKS

  • Achieved with power of the PC :P

  • OMG !!!! for cinema

  • In 40 years when I get a PC that can run this, I will have fun

  • peek into fure console gaming is what PC does now

  • Why MAC OS always nothing.... i mean the advance stuff about DX....

  • cant wait for crysis2!!

but what 'for cinema' means in this cryengine3?

  • @SulfurousReview What you see is what you play. This was all real time. Meaning that you you could go in-game and actually do that.

  • @SulfurousReview It means it can be used to render 3D animated films.

  • @Colethecon AMEN!

  • @Colethecon

You mean they don't use these graphics in games because of consoles? Lol, come on.

  • @ZoldierrZzz Actually, yes, because console hardware is very limited, no where near as powerful as a pc, and not upgradeable. New graphics need to be patched, altered, and downgraded to work on consoles.

  • @Colethecon

But there is no need to downgrade the games for PC. That is totally up to the game developers, it's not because of PS3 or 360 that PC games don't look that good. Most PC games do look more awesome than console games and you can change the graphic settings too. The question you must ask is why do game developers give you the option to change graphics on PC, but not as good as in this video? IMO because they want to save it to later and not give it away just like that, purely business.

  • @ZoldierrZzz But as there are more and more cross-platform games, the developers and publishers believe that to upgrade the graphics drastically for any one platform would result in a backlash of consumer interest and support. For example, if you and a friend had an XBOX 360 and a Mid/High-Range PC, you both payed for the same game, but the PC version had much higher quality graphics, the XBOX owner would maybe get a little angry. It also consumes more time and money programming for all consoles

  • @Colethecon

    It's not like that.

  • @ZoldierrZzz It is exactly like that, my friend.

  • @Colethecon

No dude, it is also hardware related.

  • @ZoldierrZzz I already said that.

  • @ZoldierrZzz exatly lol.

  • @ZoldierrZzz

I think what was overlooked in your conversation was the drastic difference in power even between the average PC, most people don't have a super gaming PC, so there might be limitations there. Making a game with these graphics, I don't think you could include enough adjustable settings to make it run on a lower end system.

  • @AppleGurl192 Your name says it all. You're an ignorant hipster female.

  • @Colethecon

    Moneyz Brought them there.

The only way to get them back is more MONEYZ.

  • Looks like a good movie..

  • frostbite 2 kicks this in the nuts.

  • nope

  • This is very pretty and all but if Crytek insists on spreading development to consoles, that'll never be achieved in game. Cutting edge PC hardware kicks 5-year old console hardware up and down the street.

  • this looks better than battelfield 3 has showed

  • well crysis 3 will run on this improved engine but proly be more inprovments to look even nicer unreal engine just improved by useing direcx11 so both these engines are the best on the market so unreals catching up but cryengine 3.5 is lil bit more crystp

  • I would like to see specs on that com

  • this is the potentiall of pc gaming, but thx to consoles and pirate nobody gonna take the risk of making an ambitious game using those graphics

  • All this and there Crysis 2 PC currently only runs on Directx 9. When do we get to fully unleash the beast?

  • The girl walking through the forest almost made me fall outta my chair. Amazing hardly describes it. If Crytek can make games look like this, and make the story and gameplay just as amazing, then they have a truly incredible fascinating remarkable thing going on. Also it's really really neat.

  • I think pc gamers want graphics to be as realistic as possible because they dont want go outside

  • @Bubbiea And yet most PC gamers still have an IQ above 10.

  • For the people saying that Cry Engine 3 cannot run on consoles and stuff like that need to check their eyes. ITS SAYS "CRYENGINE 3 sandbox FOR CINEMA" in the beginning and then "CRYENGINE 3 FOR CINEMA" again in clear words at the end. If a company wants to show off the full potential of a freakin engine why do it in gameplay when you can just unleash it in CINEMA. For gameplay they have to worry about polygons, refreash rate, tesselation and shit like dat.

  • @Goliath25 why would they say "in realtime" then?

    cinema is almost never realtime.

pixar's things take days to render with a supercomputer for exampe.

  • @Hergonan yes but games are always done in real time, this isnt for pre-rendered stuff it is for something that is interactive. and most CG movies take more like weeks and months to render out not days.

  • @Hergonan Thanks for clearing it for me. I was thinking of something else and misfired the "in realtime" part

  • I'm in love!!! just amazing!!!! I've always dreamed of something like this since I was a kid and now is happening. Only need to get a pair of gtx 580 o a 6990

  • The current generation of consoles needs to get lost so the newer ones can MAYBE get a little more advanced.....graphical tech on final products has stagnated for too long.

  • Achieved with CryEngine 3 on PC

  • wtf it looks better than real life. lol

  • @Li0nSword Of course. Crysis' graphical prowess is based only on general shininess.

  • 13 people who are pouty that they cant run crysis 2.

  • haha do you really think Crytek did not take the PC version of it and didnt optimized it for PC hardware capabilities? check watch?v=FqCaEyItT7M and get over it already

  • @sofukingwhat

Its only annoying that alot of games that where ported to pc aren't really nice to play. Sure they look ok but simulating a controller with the mouse just sucks. For example in first person shooters that got exported from console they often dont take the time to tweak the aiming, Glitchy aiming with pc is annoying as is, it's even more annoying when they dont even take out auto aiming. which actually makes you less accurate.

There are good games that got exported tho, but not many

  • only thing lacking is depth of field! like the new UE!

  • i clicked to watch this video on my other computer and it exploded.

  • Cant wait to play around with the Crysis 2 mission editor when I get this for PC, got a GTX 560 shipping to me tomorrow so hopefully its strong enough to let me create maps like that forest we saw. I will try and actually learn how to edit with the editor

  • Long lives the PC!!!!

Thumbs up or you are a console whore!!

  • normaly i can watch videos in 720p but not this!!!

  • OMG this looks so could i could cry, oohh now i know why its called the cry engine... hmmmm....

  • this is awesome, what is the name of the song?

  • Create a game with it!!! MMORPG StarCraft!!!

  • Wow, I was amazed by Unreal's new engine update for a few days... I'm pleasantly reminded that it's not the only one doing cool things.

  • Amazing

  • CRYTEK FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!! THUMBS UP PEOPLEEEEE!!!!

  • Can you do this shit with a mac NOOOOO.

  • @muiecopyright it's a known fact that macs are for smugs, and while some super expensive models maybe capable, they are inferior to a fully customizable pc.

  • @muiecopyright HAHA LOOL. Poor Macfags

  • I can see myself living in this video.

  • looks great!

  • I wanna try that live motion capture thing

  • most people will play free online games on the future. and the people don't play console game anymore. and after 1 years, diablo 3 and blade&soul guild wars 2 are released.

  • and this is the engine they used for Crysis 2! 80

  • On another note...

O FUCK, THE HD6990 IS HERE. 450 WATTS MAX POWER DRAW.

  • CRYTEK...!!!!! DON'T YOU DARE LET UP ONE IOTA FROM WHAT I'VE JUST SEEN.

If I find out that it's been toned down.... that my single HD6970 would be enough to max this game out in DX11 at 1080p at anything over an average of 30fps, I will be grossly disappointed....

CRYTEK....GIVE ME.....GIVE ME THE GRAND REASON TO PURSUE PERFORMANCE ONCE MORE...

*sobbing*..consoles...why..why do you do this to us...?

  • @cellphonelightsaber Because consoles have a broader base which means more money which means more resources for them to make new games for YOU. Jesus stop your constant whining about console this and PC that and enjoy the game without bitching about graphics.

  • @jayers2 What you don't get is the fustration that so many games for pc HAVE to look like it's developed for 5 year-old hardware that was already sub-par from the beginning. On top of that, you're asking me to enjoy Crysis 2 without bitching about graphics; the very reason why Crysis-- I give up.

FLOG THIS MAN, FOR HE HAS TAKEN LEAVE OF HIS SENSES.

  • @cellphonelightsaber I do agree with you to a point but its really not as bad as your making it out to be. Sure some of the textures suck but the overall art style of the game have vastly improved. Not to mention I have a 120hz screen and a GTX 580 meaning when its hitting around 115 fps all of those frames are actually displayed on my screen making it look buttery smooth.

  • @xxslayer66xx first off, nice card.

It IS that bad when you open a game and you get a single HI MED LO for your options. (mebbe AF.. MEBBE.)

It IS that bad when you open a game and you get nothing but resolution and Vsync on/off. (Darksiders)....AND THEN THE VSYNC OPTION DOESN'T EVEN WORK. (not for me. CCC 10.2, 6970, Win7 Ultimate)

  • AWESOME SHIT MAN.

  • O boy if i run this on my computer. my computer won't even last a min

  • be right back, need a change of pants

  • I have to show the boys at SEGA and SEGA Japan this. If we want to make a new game system, we'll have to have an engine that is capable of graphics BETTER than this. 1080p graphics, full 3d support at a constant 60 FPS (80 FPS theoretical if there was no 60Hz limit). Too bad the hardware for such a thing doesn't exist yet...But, only way for us to beat the big 3 at the moment. Even with Sony shooting themselves in the foot with their latest lawsuit.

  • @SEGAAwakens Ok troll, you got me. It's called an i7 2600k, 12GB of 2000MHz DDR3 and 4 GTX 580's in SLI.

Oh yeah, and a plasma tv that has a refresh rate of 600hz. Bye-bye framecap.

  • Can't wait until they release this for free (like UDK\unity)... if they are still doing that hopefully... (saw it in an article online w/ interview from crytek)

  • couldnt see that in crysis 2,which graphic is bad,

  • @doomuk666 Crysis 2 Demo is just a crappy port over from the Consoles... , Supporting only DirectX 9 and such (since consoles only run DirectX 9 Hardware (as far as shaders and such go)...

CryEngine 3 on Computer is going to be awesome...

  • @ice1cc dont worry we will then the next consoles comes out :)

  • Music? :D

  • I will buy the game right now if i can drive that thing!!!

  • Well the Crysis 2 multi demo certainly didn't seem to take full advantage of all that Cryengine 3 has to offer. The demo looks great, but feels lacking the attention to detail that the first Crysis had.

  • simply amazing. Video games have come a long way

  • I want to see someone actually make something cool with this. Like, even a shortfilm. Use the mocap , and act out a scene.

  • Why does it keep saying "real time" if its just for movies anyways?

  • @ac1th To tell the viewers that this is what it would look like if you were playing..?

  • So what is the song?

  • no description available

cuz nothing can describe this ,, OMG

  • Be careful because it still crashes a lot as said by students who tested it at universities and colleges...

  • too bad more and more of the new games are being designed to run in console crap which could never handle what we are seeing here.

  • @woojyee I believe that the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 is... 5 years old now? They were good, but it's time for an upgrade...

  • @sKratch1337 PC graphics are far superior to console even when they are new. xbox uses ATI xenos (r500) which even when it was launched was way behind PC graphic card performace and the ps3 uses a nvidia chip based on the 7800 (NV47). I got a Geforce 7900GTX just sitting in a box thats faster than both of those that I bought way back then. So games developed now are "dumbed" down for console which unfortunately is the way of things now.

  • Comment removed

  • @woojyee Consoles originaly for games, PC for work and for sucking out money for such called "upgrades".

  • @Zelmanchuk You only have to upgrade every four years. With the amount of money you save on buying games, you're spending less money on PC gaming if you already have an upgradable rig.

  • @Zelmanchuk and for retards to pick up 5 games a month and trash them just as fast. The only MP game that has had any longetivity sadly enough is the Halo franchise ... im still playing CS1.6 over a decade later ... why? Because PC gamers dont throw 2000000$ a year on every new game they probably dont even want to play.

  • @Zelmanchuk LOL!!! Spoken like a true old person who knows nothing about computers. Way to fail, man. Way to fail. Also, learn English and THEN type stuff.

  • @woojyee Say thanks to torrent users.

  • @woojyee

I can't even imagine how awesome Crysis 2 would have looked if it didn't come out for consols but nooooooooooooooo.

  • @woojyee Say thanks to torrent users.

  • @woojyee you do know this engine is for the consoles too and they are design to be cross platform

  • @keiluko yup you are right but partially! cz consoles can't utilize dx10 and dx11 which pc can.

  • @keiluko But still not good looking enough.

  • @keiluko they're but if you want a good performance you need to forget about this kind of visuals :] .

  • @hydzior Umm have you seen how well crysis 2 runs? i can run it as a solid 30-35 FPS with a 9800 GTX. And it still a new engine so no doubt they will do even more optimizing in the future.

  • @woojyee

The PS4 and XBOX 720 will.

The way I see it, this is a peek into the future of console gaming.

  • @Sposchy Dont be so sure ;] .

  • @Sposchy though consoles will always be slower than pc xP

  • @CrimnlBT

Of course. Consoles don't update as technology advances.
