It's very original, provokes thought and very entertaining. It's witty, funny and smart. I can't believe this was cancelled. At first I didn't think it was that good but I love Eddie Izzard so I gave this a try on Netflix. I was very surprised and was hooked in. I wish that there would really be a movie coming out sometime to give this show a conclusion. Or better yet, bring it back! (That's impossible)

My understanding is, it was cancelled out of sheer bad luck, due to the writers' strike... not because they ran out of material like someone said below.

I love Eddie Izzard's stand-up and was apprehensive I wouldn't care for him in boy mode, but it turns out he is a SUPREME dramatic actor, totally knocks my socks off. I read he's thinking of trying to bring back The Riches as a movie. Sure hope he succeeds.

actually it's one of the best series i have ever watched, it's really really good. my mum had it on dvd, and one day i was ill and fancied watching something new, so i picked it up, put it on, and found i couldnt turn it off!! eddie izzard is a great actor to, which i was quite surprised

No, the show is not racist. By calling travelers "thieves", it could be referred to as a little prejudice or "stereotypical" by some aspects, but it's not intended to be that way. But if it weren't for some of the more 'questionable' aspects of the show, it wouldn't be as interesting. It is those factors that give it that diversity from most shows today in my opinion.

This is a awesome series. Oddly enough, I get to tense and worried about the people I can barely stand to keep watching. But, I will--the scripts, characters, and acting are wonderful. Now for an intelligent review: The chemistry of the cast is very interesting and both classically training actors, Minnie Drive and Eddie Izzard can certainly pull out the realism of the roles with such flair, that their performances and the series itself is addicting - I haven't been this interested in any series since Sex and the City.
