  • This is a great video! Thank you!

  • 2:25 Separate

    3:40 White Left

    5:15 White Top

    6:55 Same Colors On Top.

    7:51 White on Right.

  • That was so helpful!! I love not having to remember algorithms, thank you so much!

  • you say we should know how to solve in at least two minutes but shouldn't you mean at most two minutes?

  • I'm a beginner who tried this, and am considering suicide

  • I love the description.

  • is this method the fastest to solve the rubiks cube?

  • @tolhcc yea i think soo

  • You sir, need to get a better cube...just sayin..

  • You sir, need to get a better cube...just sayin..

  • you're a little up yourself mate

  • i don't understand but i can solve it in 1:00 with the beginner method :(

  • This is just simple f2l?

  • dang ur cube is tight

  • @sashil95 nothing

  • Comment removed

  • Bᴜᴛ ᴡɪʟʟ ɪᴛ ʙʟᴇɴᴅ?

  • This helped so much! Thank you!

  • my best time with beginner is about 30-45 secs, i had to use my microwave timer (FAIL!)

  • Is T for TOP? The upper side, or...?

  • kinda hard to follow..

  • TNK U SO MUCH....!!!!!

  • his hands seems to be shivering . i'm guessing your first video

  • dude u need some Silicone to fix ur cube

  • my time is 14 Seconds

  • @ghito1998 Haha. It went down by a lot since those two weeks.

  • lbl in 1:07

  • NICE TUTORIAL!!! :D

  • It is really funny but two day's aggo i thought myself this method and now i find it on youtube :)

  • POGOBAT ROCKS

  • *you're

  • Thank you! This video really helped me. Now I just have to train it up so i can beat my beginner method record 1:23 :)

  • @RandomVidoz My beginner record is 59 seconds. (:

  • fucking sucks.

  • @TeoBoii8 fuckins sucks !!!!!!!!!!!!?????????

  • @Rustomac any way 2 solve the white cross faster ?

  • if you dont understand what he means it is because you dont know how to solve the cube, practice and play with it first and try more advanced stuff when you are ready for it. dont just come here and complain that u dont understand

  • This method stupid.... Kudos for her dicovering it and all though.

  • What is the "M" "y" or "x" Algorithms?!

  • @TheDivineKiller97 M is one of the middle rows

y and x is rotating the cube (not twisting, physically rotating)

Look it up for a better explanation than what I gave you lol

  • i gota problem when im doing the 3 step thing like red white corner goes to the red white midle but the middle is white red insted of red white = no match = fail

  • i finished learning the fridrich method just now and i timed myself (as a beginner in using this method) i got 37 seconds!

  • i can do the beginner method at 53 seconds

  • I'm colorblind

  • @guybrush93 fucking lier

  • @guybrush93 too bad

  • @guybrush93 maybe make groves or rigdes on the surfaces so you can do it by touch?

  • @guybrush93 Look up 'rubik's icon' its in greyscale.

  • the F2L is so much harder to memorize than the beginner method

  • @bakonfreek I agree

  • by 2 minutes at least you mean under 2 minutes rite?

cuz i can solve it in under 2 minutes.

    hm....

and i don't want to increase my time.....

  • dude im sorry but you suck cock at explaining instead of making a video yourself post a link to wherever you learned it

  • thanks a lot, it did help me a bit....

  • There are 57 OLL's and 21 PLL's

ATTENTION!!!: If you want to start using this method, I highly recommend you use Intuitive F2L.

It's impossible to learn the whole Fridrich Method in one night.......

Dan Brown sucks ass His way of explaining is terrible, and his video blows. If you want a real video explaining how to solve the Rubik's Cube, check out one of these people:

    badmephisto

    RobH0629

    MeMyselfandPi

    MonkeyDude1313

  • @TheChampion613

not really to me, Dan Brown is a great teacher to me. Well in his new vids. Now I can solve it sub min using beginners

  • @TheBadassWoopa but if you really are interested in getting faster, look at the people who I listed on my previous comment. Dan Brown is not a "real" cuber. He still uses the beginners method. XD

  • @TheChampion613

I guess so but he seems to have a lot of cubes for a non cuber. He probably just wants to show us the beg. method but he really uses something like petrus or fridrich.

  • @TheBadassWoopa he doesn't have a lot of cubes. he has a 3x3 and only one 4x4. and he has a video of him solving it, (the 3x3) and he uses the beginners method.

  • @TheBadassWoopa He uses the beginners method. If you watch the video of him solving it, you can tell he uses the beginners method.

  • @TheChampion613

Dan Brown died now. He even lost partnership :(

  • LoL i have a weird sorta rubber cube and it can twist VERY easy and i did one accidental move and solved the two second layers before you even began to explain :D that's called luck

  • I love you man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why does a new tab pop up evertime I click this video? That's not good.

  • yeah this isn't really a good explanation. i can solve it in 2 minutes i know the terminology and how moving different faces affect the other sides...i still can't understand what to do

  • @kingbeetle1 If it takes you 2 minutes and know the notation then you must not know how the cube itself works and just know how to do algorithms

  • Thank you!

I find it really great that you explain the moves without algorithms so that we can solve by intuition. Practice makes perfect!

For the beginners I also recommend pogobat's method.

  • @seda72 thats how i learned (yay dan brown!)

  • @seda72 go pogobat

  • @seda72 pogobat's video is terrible and should be removed from YouTube. He explains everything way too fast. Check out RobH0629's video. It's better and more equipped for Beginners.

  • @seda72 also for F2L, check out monkeydude1313's video.

  • @seda72 pogobat's method = LBL AKA Beginner's Method. ;)

  • @seda72 pogobat's is great! :) i can do it in a minute with the beginner method

  • Thanks, very well!

  • 00:39 - 00:49... thats what she said!!

  • type in how to solve rubiks cube faster : advanced f2l techniques same method, better axplained, uploader rob

  • I've learned it by myself and you can shorten or optimize a lot of this cases f2l can learned by trying oll and pll must be learned by cases.

  • u didnt do if its on the right side :(

  • This is actually a pretty easy to understand video. If you don't understand it I'd suggest you learn how to solve it with Pogobat and then this video will be a piece of cake for you to understand.

  • "Aka, if your stupid you will probably get hurt!!"

That's ironic, because you said "your" instead of "you're".

    Who's stupid?

  • @jdude932 People make mistakes, and FYI you must be a total grammar nazi to notice his mistake.

  • guys, if you have any probs with this message me, i just totally figured it out... it's amazingly simple, but it requires alot of thinking...

  • im having thoughts of suicide, enfisema, anxiety and internal bleeding.

  • man this is confusing. ill repost if i ever solve it using this method.

  • Your douche. That's about it. Get some life skills.

  • What is OLL and PLL, i have no idea what that stands for... How do you solve the last layer without using the basic method?

  • @johnmorisi8 before oll and ppl thers l1 l2 l3

  • @possible911

what is l1 l2 and l3 ? i figured out what oll and pll are.... what's the use of l1 l2 and l3 once you have figured out the first two layers already?

  • @johnmorisi8 OLL means Orient Last Layer, which means you are getting all of the pieces on top the same color as the center piece on top.

Then you do PLL, where you move all of the top pieces around into their correct places.

  • Few bits i didn't understand but i worked it out in the end

  • maybe i was learning while i was sleeping.

  • WHAT THE FUCK???

  • Well, tnx for the page on speed cubing . com that I know how to do it, even I didn't watch this whole vid.. LOL.. tnx by the way,...

  • Thanks man, i was looking at your myspace and you live in lafayette, i live in crown point :D

  • wat abt the top layer????

  • but with if the edge peices you need are not on the top layer?

  • @jezse1 u need to bring them on top..its easy.....

  • Jessica herself couldnt help me on dis!

  • I LUV U!!!!!!!!!!! THX DUDE!!!

  • i can do it in sub 1 min with dan browns method... and you say under 2 mins ATLEAST

  • @mariosglitch yea im using dan brown's method right now, but its no where near as fast as this. you can get this down to 20 seconds or less

  • @flapjackattack4 yea ik i started trying this method and my best time is now 31 seconds

  • @mariosglitch thats crazy man! i gotta keep practicing, id be happy if i broke one minute

  • heard some of your music its ok stuff but it sounds too fruity loopish, try experimenting with more layers! that will add depth to your songs and make them sound more professional and not two dimensional!

  • You can't learn the full fridrich method in one night unless you have an absolutely amazing memory. Even with intuitive F2L, There are 74 algorithms to do full OLL and PLL. You might be able to learn the 2-Look OLL and PLL in one night, but even that is stretching it.

  • omg i'm so slow with this method. just began today it took me 2 min to finish F2L. It took so long because i had to have all the specif placing to fit it in

  • @Dodianer practice, dont think after learning it, you will get like 20secs solves. it took me 3 weeks to get from 1:30mins to 45secs., but now im averaging 15secs

  • thx a lot. really helped.

  • i did 26 seconds with the beginners method...

do u think i can improve with this method?

  • wtf do u mean by two blocks that don't belong together ( 2:20 )

    ... u gotta explain moree....

  • i tried so many other tutorials on this method and this is the best one.

  • watched this like probably 1,000x's just to get one side down.. it's helpful but sometimes you don't explain it well..

  • Omg i dont understand anything

  • This is the best guide on YouTube! Clear sound, you make it easy to learn it and you film just on the cube. Great job!

  • what do you do when the white is on the left?

  • 7:40 Do this move:

    (U) (R U R' U' R U R' 'U')

  • ur cube moves like shit

  • omg...this method is a lot faster...

  • what the fuck do you do if you end up with 2 same colors on top?

  • I was hoping for a OLL and PLL tutorial.

  • Yo, about a month ago I started using python and watched your tutorials. Now, I'm into rubix's cubes and started watching these tutorials. When I got about half way through, I was thinking that the name Rustomac was familiar and realized that you're the one with the Python videos. Now to me that's just weird.

  • what is the meaning of 2???? is counterclockwise?

  • @abuevamonster You turn whatever side twice, doesn't matter what direction

  • @abuevamonster it means move that side twice

  • @juicyjujubean14 thnks

  • wait do u have to no f2l or can u just solve it wifout it???

  • thanks for teaching me the method.. i learned from you around a year an a half ago.. and now i average around 15-16 seconds on 3x3x3, so if it wasnt for you, i'd probably still be solving it layer by layer. XD

  • What side is T?

  • @imaman67 Top...

  • how can i keep the stickers on my cube from peeling off? i've gone through 6 cubes because of it

  • ps. on 02:32 you say in the box T' R 2T R' but it should be T' R' 2T R if i see good what moves you do that time

  • I do the layer by layer method from Dan Brown, my average time is around the 1 min 20 sec. if i could do this method, would i be able to get a average time of less than 50 secs? I hope you respond cause i want to get a betther solving time hope you respond back ^^

  • @rambo0356 I had exactly the same sort of times as you from beginner method and i can do a 40 second average of 5 now (also using 2 look OLL and PLL) so you can easily do it. You might not be quicker at first but stick with it :)

  • F=U

    :)

  • Wow this video sucks ass! He didn't explain what to do during different scenerios.

  • @DII117 Lol he did you dumbass

  • @RadHerma There are 16 total possible scenerios fucktard. He barely explained 3

  • @DII117 So? I learned how to do the Fridrich method from this... Most of it is just intuitive... He didn't really need to explain the 16 scenarios to teach people the Fridrich method

  • i cant remember al the things XD

  • thanks i get it

  • It would be nice someone would count the moves all of them

  • wen u get to the 4th corner/edge solve and white is on the right of the corner piece is there a method for that or do u have to re-orientate it so white is up or on the left?

  • Hey dude thanx this really helped me buddy....

  • Wait, one question: when seperating the two pieces on the top layer, how do you do that without messing up the cross on bottom?

  • Lol i understood. Why didnt i figure this meathord out? I use a similar meathord. But not as complicated.

  • uhh this dosnt make sense

  • Kinda confusing but I get the general idea..I'm still gonna look for a less confusing tutorial. Thanx anyway

  • Its a good video I admit, but you really have to learn to to actually explain WHAT your doing.

  • Wtf? I got lost....confusing

  • thanks this helped me!

  • Is it just me or are you really shaky?

  • fuck it ill just paint it

  • fuck that ill just color it...lol

  • Far I get it know. Thanks I'm also a beginner . You have helped me alot.

  • hey do you think you or someone could put the times where you explain the 3 different orientations of the white corner cube? it would save a lot of time thanks

  • Dude this is way too hard and impossible.....No matter how much u break the lesson up u wont get it..... Its just this guy turning white squares around...So i would even bother trying this method...Wayyyyyy tooooo harrrrrd

  • @Universal247 actually i found it pretty easy

  • I liked your explanation of the F2L. I wish you'd explain the OLL and PLL as well.

  • when the white is on top but the edge piece is facing you i cant get it in place without moving the white thats already in he cross can anybody help me with that plz ???????

  • Fi U Li Ui

  • dude this is really really good but i have an important question now lets say the corner piece has white on the right side but the top color is the same as the top color of the edge peice so when you flip it da way u described it is oriented the wrong way please please help me everything else was G!

  • otabek9 you have to form a pair, meaning, that you have to hide the corner and aline de edge in a way that when you unhide the corner the 2 others colors besides white aline. Ex: if you have white on the left and red up and green in left and the edge piece green/red is in in the opossite side of that corner piece you put the coerner piece on the fronte andthe edge on the back and do right inverted (couter clock wise) 2Upand you have a pair. The white stricker will be to left and you do U' F' U F

  • @jankdi thanks man ill be sure to try this out

  • @otabek9 no prob xD

  • @jankdi Thanks you helped me out 2!

  • @YCurve No prob.

  • help i have the same problem

  • @otabek9 yeah so what you got to do is instead of flipping it is hiding it^^

so instead of opening the slot and buliding the pair you gotta hide it and then move the same top color at his side. once you know how it works it will basically go automatically

  • using the beginners method, what is the world record of solving it? i can solve it using the beginners method in about 55 seconds

  • @itinter

My personal best using the beginners method is 26.33. My best average of 10 is 39.63.

  • i dunno.

my friends can solve with beginners method in 43,28 secs

if fridrich method world record is 7.08

  • i think the old fashion way is best, i have done all the algoithms the sissy way but i got REALLY quick , today feb.19th 2010 i set a record of 31 seconds flat with using the algoithms an i used to get like 2 mins then a minute 30 seconds the 56 seconds then 45 seconds an now 31. so i think stickin with the basic way is best

  • honestlly ... i thought this vedeo was boring at the start BUT i really wanted to learn so i watched and watched and watched . and i learnt so thankyou your awsome and im recommending this vid to everyone i know ! ! ! ! ! ive watched this video so many times i no every word you say LITERALLY

  • This video really helped me... THANK YOU!!! =D

  • to AngeloBetrulas, Hey, I don't know what the heck you are? Maybe fucking shit crap or something but hey, this guy right here wanted to teach "anybody who wants to solve the rubik's cube faster" , and you just shit over your PC try to dawn someone huh? Get the shit off or the shit will come to your face you crapper..

  • @theJAZOSH seriously i actually think this guys tutorial was helpful

  • @theJAZOSH Wtf? Everybody poops you know...

  • hahahahahah
