  • super>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> song. Thank u.

  • @livendieformusic It's Rahman's as well.

  • No the music is not futuristic. It is certainly enjoyable, as i did many times. But it fits exactly to that period of time with all the electronic synths.. Ask anyone outside india, they would tell you. The appreciation might be the result of the fact that these folks are getting to listen only now or that it was new in india at that time. Neverthless the composer of the song should be appreciated for his efforts.

  • This movie was sooo ahead of its time and in a way i still feel is, coz unfortunately i think the majority of indian audience are still incapable of appreciating a simple films (in this case a simple action flick) where romance and heroism take the back seat… for everything to be proud of there is always something to be ashamed of… c'est la vie. Quelle merde !!!

  • I agree with shankar, its 8 yrs , so far none has come close, to the composers theme, also like to share ar rahman sirs composition and output is far ahead compared to the picture effects shown to us.....

  • whts the gals name ???

  • which song plays for the first ten seconds before konjam nilavu starts..??

  • @livendieformusic Kangalaal Kaithu Sei - Aaha Tamilamma

  • Great movie

  • I agree with shankarsaravanan.. The tune in 1993 was futurstic... Even now it feels it matches with the trend.... that's is some skill.... I really admire ARR

  • un believable music, and voice too.., what a magic in his fingers!!!! AR ROCKS!!

  • if its an English movie, ARR could have been gotten the OSCAR for this song in 1993, no need to wait for 2009. Rahman got delayed OSCAR.

  • yukkkk visuals

  • ACTOR PRASHANTH. AMAZING SONG. SONG SUNG BY SINGER. THIS SONG'S MOTION PICTURE NAME IS CALLED THIRUDA THIRUDA. NICE MUSIC.

  • This is unimaginative!!!!!

In 1993, how he was able to engineer such a song with instruments he had then?

I'm a big fan of this song. The music is ABNORMAL

  • Unbelievable song! Cannot believe it was from a 1993 film. One of AR's best!

  • ARR always is best..

  • remember this 1 :) good trak

  • The Aashiqui waali auntie is a distraction for this excellent song. Better switch off the video

Nice sound quality uploader! No distortions at all in my Bose. thanks

  • My goodness.. what a song.. awesome!!!

  • My goodness.. what a song.. awesome!!!

  • This seems to happen at almost every web forum. A pakistani comes along, says something nasty about south Indians. Some people take the bait. Guys, we have shed blood for each other. Can we ever hate?! We are best off not dignifying these creatures conceived through accidental insemination through a gangrenous anal fistula.

  • reminds me of an english song'sweet dreams'(eurythmics)

  • xXBlackxRebelXx, I feel like puking at him :-( save me plz :-(

  • For me , best was the last bit where only anu is lit up and she looks like a vision in White!

  • My introduction to the word epic.

  • choreographed by prabhu deva and raju sundram.....evergreen song

  • 1 of the songs that made me love A R Rahman's music.

  • gr8 cinemtogrpahy gives life to the music.....

    SYnth nd loop was tremendous....

  • mangai un kaal pattaal.. mannum oru mannala...

vellai pon thegathil.. vervai thuli uppalla...

senthaazham poovukku mul ondrum kurai alla...

mull ondrai vaithaalum... un meethu pizhai alla...

penne un kannalan pirai eri varuvaane...

vin konda meen ellam vilayada tharuvane...

I remember the casette had the lyics in tamil.. and with grat difficulty I used to read it... didnt understand the lovely meaning till now!.... Tamil lyrics are so creative..Rehman's music was gilding the lily!

  • I love part 2:42 when she says vandha naaaaaaalllll manilaeeeeeee, camera zooms out. Brilliance.

  • its been more than 15 years.. still rocks!

  • I'm a proud Maharashtrian but absolutely love this WHOLE album! I remember when I was a kid my sister told me about this album and my mind was blown away by the sheer variety of songs in here and they were all unlike anything I had heard before. I didnt understand a word but still learned quite a bit of the lyrics just cause I heard it so many times. Guys, please stop this north-south BS and grow up. Give credit where credit is due. I agree with rav3nrulz...this is A R Rehman's BEST album!!

  • @kvs26

hear hear!!.. Doesn;t matter which part of India we come from..We are all Indians!!

  • @kvs26 So true.

  • @kvs26 R u Proud Maharashtrian or Indian?

  • Apart from melody and harmony.. synth work with a great arrpegio's which you can hear all thro the song which is just mind boggling . Rahman's fame for Jai Ho which is what most people know in the west does not do justice to the body of work by this powerhouse of a man ! IMHO thiruda thiruda was a killer of an album! KannumKannum ->Amazing BASSLINES ! Veerapandi Kottaiyile ->Amazing Orchestration, TheeThee - slap(keith peters) flute (navin) , and this album was the start of electro and sampling.

  • I want to learn tamil, so that i can understand this

  • the besr song arr, beginning music is awesome

  • I Used to start dancing like a Robot on hearing this song....Now my Son doing the same........

  • what all this north south stuff guys.. dont heed to some paki or some crazy bugger. We're all Indians.

  • surprised by some comments here especially xXBlackxRebelXx

well, Aishwarya Rai is from Mangalore, Sridevi, rekha, Hema malini, they are all south indians. But how does it matter? We are all Indians. We are known for our hard work , smartness and ambitions. Lets just focus on that shall we? Color does not matter, we are all human beings. Question is a good one or a bad one? a progressive one or lazy? Lets mind our business and not hate others pls

  • @Mrchacha55 Hey jackass, first of all if you are claiming to be an Indian than spell colour properly. Secondly we aren't known for our hard work, smartness or ambition. Rather our lazyness, corruption and stupidity. But on that one point you are right, south indian women are much better looking than north indian women.

  • @wayan11111

well, just to clarify , although I am not interested in this conversation. With due respect to you, spelling of color can be either that or colour. Its either American or British spelling. Its like spelling honor, it could be also honour. I am very much a south Indian born and brought up Indian . Not sure about the lazzyness you talk about. Of course our country is known for its corruption.

  • @wayan11111

Continuing with my reply , I live out side the country, I am a CEO of a company and with my experience Indians are respected. Once they are hired Indians do work hard, they outsmart other people as they are ambitious well this is what I have experienced , but ofcourse your experience could be different. I am trained in classical music there fore my love for music brings me here to you tube.so thank you for you comment anyways. May I say You have a very polished and polite language.

  • @wayan11111

Also I notice you wanted to say

" claiming to be an Indian " then " spell color. Not "Than"?. I am sure you know the difference? May be it was a oversight? You need to be careful when you scream :)- After all no one is perfect. My point is being polite to others is no harm Mister Wayan.

  • Magna sound released the Audio tapes. Tapes sold as hot cake. But after 1994, this fellow lost the momentum and stopped giving numbers like these.

  • Its amazing how he composed this song back in 1993 -- I use the Korg M 50 workstation--this song has amazing harmony and terribly brilliant synth work

  • Comment removed

  • great song, great music, great picturisation..... is the language tamil? its sensuous and sexy. anu agarwal lacks lachak... but makes up with her oodles of oomph!!

  • what a voice she has...........

  • This was composed at 1993, I bet even at 2013 none will be able to compose such a song...This will remain as an ARR Master piece till the world ends....He is the best in universe

  • lighting is super amazing in this song......and of course ...rehman rocks!!!!

  • chanceless composing by AR.Rahman...lovely sng...its loved by me...nice beat...

  • ULTIMATE beats by the ULTIMATE composer...BRAVO RAHMAN....

chanceless lighting and cinematography.... JUS ROCKING.....

  • Nice song!

  • vow starting music is excellent. Ar rehman what's the magic in ur hands

  • does anybody know ..which music is there right at the begining .. i mean from which movie the starting music is?

  • @beingRaghu u mean b4 the song from Thiruda Thiruda ...

that's from the movie ....KANGALAL KEIDHI SEI ...--- Priya Mani's debut film ...

  • I love this song! Good dance with their combination of the song who sang , music, fireworks talented group dancers;everything blended together. make this song a superb song!

  • @pancharutnamkrishna1 Visual Effects are too good!

  • my favorite

  • This is an eye catching and mind stealing dance! It reminds the festival of lights Deepavali, I mean the background fire works. When fire works are lighte mostly men dance around the main dancer. All dancers are talented. The dance director has done hard job. Every dancer has performed equally well. Song is suited to slow movement dance also safe while dancing on a fire woks background! The dancer has nice movements and sexy!with nice and lovely features!

  • oh my god. why are you fighting like this? u saw the americans comment on us ? if we fight like this comparing north south we cant expect anything less from the whities. please we are indians, north south east or west, we are indians. we must be united and never give space for others to comment badly on us. i was in tears seeing the msg exchanges here.. WE ARE INDIANS. not south indian or north indian.. PLEASE DONT FIGHT.. BE AND PROVE TAT U R A TRUE INDIAN.. JAI HIND!! VAAZHGA NAM THAAI NAADU!!

  • @violetsfun Very well said, SIr!! I salute ur patriotic sentiments. Yes, we must rise above such petty emotions to make our nation stronger. The west have forever tried to weaken us with ideas of the Aryan -Dravidian divide where none existed. If we don't learn from our history & stay together, foreign powers will always try to poke their nose into our affairs. It's time we crushed these bad apples from either side. BTW, I believe xXBlackxRebelXx & sonofthedestroyer r not Indian.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx like govinda is so damn freaking good looking?

anyway news flash: the survival of the human race doesnt depend on actors like vijay or amithabachan in case u havent noticed. maybe u should stop watching so many utube vids - perhaps find yrself something more worthwhile to do? just a suggestion. pff

  • The cinematography and lighting effects in the song are stunning. PC Shriram is a genius who tries to defies basics and churns out a radical but breathtaking output.

The buildings shown in this song are part of the Chennai Museum. They look old and dull under normal lights. But, Shriram has shown a marvel.

  • Chandralekhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....................

  • the beginning is from

    Aaha Thamizhamma - Kangalaal Kaithisei

  • gr8t

  • I like this song a lot!! drum beats are energetic. good composing by ARR.

  • Beats were very good in this album.

Looks like Maniratnam-Rehmaan combo decided to make a full-fledged beats album.

  • i hav this album & though i don't understand tamil @ all still listen 2 it & love it!!!!

  • same here no clue about Tamil, beautiful song !

  • :) it was translated in hindi as well...

  • what the title in Hindi? Chandralekha if I not mistaken...

  • good

  • one of the first song i danced on stage...

  • Beautiful song and dance .... love Rehaman! Thanks for posting the lyrics too ...

  • Blackxrebel, who the fuck do you think you are? No wonder India has been soo slow to develop....you narcissistic sonofabitch...let me just remind you that the most developed part of india is Kerala, its like its own sepearte country. As long as people like you propogate such hatred, India will be damned to the third world.

  • Shut your crap..you both are Indians!

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx,

The truth is something you can never digest. You did not descend from the original inhabitants of India. India is full of fakers who descended from invaders from the middleast and europe. Southern India is one place where the original culture is maintained. I dont know what you are blabbering about Nayaks, and Shatriyas. The ancient people of Indian subcontinent did not look anything like you. You should go to the caucasus mountains or Mongolia to find your ancestors

  • @sonofthedestroyer ha ha ha... Go on dreaming. Provide facts to justify your baseless statements.

None of the European invaders settled in India. The percentage of an Indo-European mix is very very small. THERE IS NO HISTORICAL EVIDENCE OF A SO CALLED ARYAN INVASION OR MOVEMENT FROM EUROPE. It is a myth propagandized by Europeans to downgrade Asia

However, I agree that a lot of people from the Middle East settled and mixed with Indians. Still, the percentage is close to only 20%

  • Ya you're right. Many of A.R Rahman's hits in the 90's have a close pattern, resembling MJ's greatest hits like dangerous and other albums,.Even Roja songs are not exception. He's influenced by MJ's style of orchestration, rhythm. But later years showed a transition from that trend, he produced more genuine and own tunes...I guess..

  • Rahman was heavily influenced by MJ in the early 90's, but he has proved time and time again that he can do ANYTHING ELSE as well. The man can produce ANY type of music. He is GLOBAL. HE WON THE OSCARS. TWO!

JUST IMAGINE IF RAHMAN MADE MUSIC FOR MICHAEL JACKSON THE 90's. He would have made it better than the ones MJ got.

TWO SUPER POWERS THAT DID NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO COLLAB.

You can never compare two regions geographically, too many variables are off balance. If not, there are balanced.

  • Guyz come on!! What does divide South India from North India..just directions which doesn't exist physically..how much you all would divide the land which doesn't belong to us(mankind)..already this world is so much divided..people fighting to expand their shapeless borders..now I feel really bad to see this on Internet which I see as a unifying tool..so please stop!

  • @afficianado1985,

Problem with Indians is that many of them have DNA that is not original to India. And their egos wont let them accept it. I have accepted it. I know that my DNA is not 100% ancestral Indian. Only partial % as most Indians are mixed now. The original Indians have been killed off and remaining ones interbred with outsiders. This is the reality of India today. And the outsider DNA aspect in some people makes them racist towards dark skin and so on. A deeper insecurity

  • @sonofthedestroyer - Original Indians have been killed ??? he he he... That's a big joke. Who killed all the original Indians buddy ? A lot were killed during war, but it doesn't mean that all the Indians were annihilated once and for all from the face of the earth during invasions.

Don't blame a foreign DNA for the love towards white skin. It is the mistake, insecurity and inferiority complex of Indians themselves.

  • @karthige79,

The obsession with fair skin was brought in by outsiders. Because they assumed top position, in a perverted way all inhabitants started looking up towards fair skin like it was godly. And when the British took over, this was further reinforced into their minds.

There was no one single invasion. It was a constant influx of immigration over hundreds of years.

Very few Indians are genetically 100% match to the ancient black Indians. All of us are mixed

  • @sonofthedestroyer: I agree with the reasoning for obsession with fair skin. It was our own fault to allow someone to fool us. But, let us not blame the DNA mix to be the reason. If you observe Indian history carefully, you would note that there was no record of any strong or successful invasion until 1000 A.D.

The Mongols controlled Kashmir for almost 300 years. The Delhi sultanates controlled North western & eastern India for almost 250 years.

  • @sonofthedestroyer We all know the invasion of India after the first battle of Panipat in 1526. Most of the mixing happened in North India but it did not kill all the natives. Who said that ancient Indians were black ??? It is utter nonsense. If you read literature from any Tamil, Marathi or Magadha kingdoms there are several citations of fair skinned men and women. They were pure Indians.

The concept that original Indians were "black" is baseless. There is no proof for it

  • @sonofthedestroyer The misconceived idea that all Dravidians are original inhabitants of India and that they are black is simply a propaganda of politicians in Southern India to target the so called upper caste and favor a vote bank from the remaining castes. Indians mostly have a tanned skin which is neither black nor fair. This is unique.

  • @karthige79,

Its not propaganda but common sense. The world originally had black people. White skin appeared due to genetic engineering (yakub theory) and mutations and careful breeding and experimentation. The whites later travelled all over intermixing with the original black people and producing mixed people of today.

I am also the 'tanned' you speak of. But i know the truth and i can put my ego aside and accept it. Something alot of people like you have trouble doing.

  • @sonofthedestroyer common sense ?? The world originally had black people ?? ha ha ha... Go on dreaming mate. No use speaking facts with you. So, if the white guys impose a supremacy theory the black dudes come up with another supremacy theory. Height of inferiority complex.

White people mixed with everyone ??? ha ha ha... so how do the Chinese and Japanese look short with yellow skin ?? he he he... You made my day mate. Thanks for your jokes :)

  • can any one else pump this much energy into a song?

  • Hmm i dnt mean t sy its a copy, n also dnt sy dat no othersongs has usd thse sounds.

but d thng u al gt to notce s tht thse sounds hs bn usd at od tmes without flow, its an awesum technic arousing as srprisng fr d lstenrs ds tchnique hs bn usd n bth sngs!

MJ- at mins 0:36 to 0:52 The Chorus

Rahman- at mins 3:38 to 3:42, 4:43 to 4:52 The Chorus

I also wnted t sy it can b a COINCIDENCE!

However, AR Is a Legend., And There is only one legend (At Present) in this world so far :-)

  • lol screw north India. We are better than them in every metric, education, standard of living, law and order etc. Leave them be with their riots and terrorists.

  • Hey guys!!!! whats this man.....why fight with each other. I am a Tamilian but living in New Delhi. Most of the people are nice and warm...Dont prejudice and divide India like this.

  • forever!!!

  • Will remain futuristic forever. ARR's magic..

  • You are right Jasiworks, it does have a similar inspired beat to MJ's "In The Closet"...good job on ARRahman's part to change it around and add his own twist to it

  • That is not copy, creating a different one out of existing one is always appreaciated

  • But im sorry to say that this song has been inspired from MJ's song named ....In the closet Michael Jackson...

its not a copy but an inspiration certain things certain teknics n music have been taken from that song...

but stil....Its not wrong ...isnt it....its not a copy

  • No..IN THE CLOSET is pretty much in the lines of Dangerous!

BTW Jackson worked with ARR for ONE TRUTH, only after LISTENING to this song!! He was FLATTERED and he said "I would never come up with SUCH a grand composition!! But Iam thankful, u considered my Kinda music!"

  • The best Syncronization.....Wooooooooow...awesome.....

  • which song is the one played showing the song title... ?? can anyone tell me??

  • Title song is from Kankalal Kaidhu Sei movie - Aha Thamillamma

    watch?v=kifoTP5D-aI

  • Thanks for that...

  • DELETE JASI WORKS comment!!

Listen to MJ's song, and confirm for urself that he is speaking nonsense!!

  • a r the best

  • exelent for ever.............................

  • isn't she anupama, why are ya guys calling anubama???

  • Yeah and for the same reason you twats call dosai dosaaaaa.....aaaaaaa....aaaaa! ass jockey

  • yennada! wait let me put some coconut oil on my hair and tie up my lungi , then we have a discussion ! lol

  • That made absolutely no freaking sense at all. Applying coconut oil to one's hair and wearing a sarong/lungi(which is extremely comfortable and the most sensible thing anyone can wear during the Indian summers) is supposed to the a derogotory statement?....Him how about you northern monkies stick to what you do best, be paranoid about how all the capable Indians live in the south lol

  • well said!!!

  • exactly!! i dont get it with the north indian idiots! they r so shallow in percieving south india...i have a frend just like that who says he will never ever step into south india because of his stupid idea of how we all live (he thinks we ALL live in the kerala forests(tho im from AP)men wear lungis to work and some crap like that...) they r such shallow people with hardly any originality or imagination and shit load of arrogance.

  • Kind of like how Southern Indians like yourself are ignorant in perceiving North Indians, right?

You are quite hypocritical in your approach. On one hand, you deem it's "shallow" to prejudge someone but in the same breath, you judge all North Indians as "shallow people with hardly any originality or imagination and shit load of arrogance". Prejudice reflects poorly on one person, not an entire population. Kindly, stop generalizing and painting a large group of people with the same brush.

  • if i wasnt broad minded enuff i wouldnt keep such a frend in the place in my list..so im not generalising "ALL" of north india! im tlking abt that section of people who talk of south india poorly. i have lived in north india myself for 7 years...so im metropolitan enuff to know both sides of the story...i have a lot of north indian frends..watch their movies..appreciate their ways etc...but i do get angry with the people who are ignorant about south inidia..and that comment was for that section.

  • is it anything meaning with this song? hey dude come on.. listen this song.. and just write your opinion.. and wtf for u saying bout south and north india bout? well i'm not from india. and i'm from malaysia.. its your country.. and you talking is bullshit and fucking things.. it doesn't make sense.. u suppose proud to be an indian and more proud born in india...

  • this issue doesnt relate to u in anyway so stop poking ur long nose into this matter and keep the fuck out of it. i dont understand y the hell ur commenting on something we r discussing....?? man! some ppl on youtube are so strange....they just pop out of nowhere coz they want to say "fuck" a couple of sometimes to some1. so dont teach me patriotism...and mind ur buiseness.

  • thats right..keep banking on history to propogate urself...and keep talking of some vijay nagar empire bullshit...u have nthng except somethng that happened so many years ago to rely on because the present generation of north indians sux anyway and the future will too. (u know..i actually dont hate north indians and i dont think ur losers but since u called south indians losers and since ur name is the "blackrebel" im pretty much gonna wage this war with u if it needs to happen)

  • honestly! telling me that ur a nayak so many times isnt going to raise u or this argument in anyway...in fact the more u say it the more im going to stay away from the next nayak that i do meet....so please dont proclaim it so many times and do injustice to the rest of ur clan.

  • What in living hell is a 'Nayak' ?

  • What is "Kshatriyas" ?

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx ugly prick. i can only assure you of a fucked up life ahead of you with this kind of an attitude. tumhaare biwi bachche zaroor tujhe dump karenge. oh wait...pehle tumhe biwi bhi nahi milegi is attitude ke saath. saala hum sab indians hain. attitude ko badhal lo bhenchodh sala

  • oh my god...! ur comment is oozing so much of jealousy and racial discrimination...im practically speechless!..how old ru?coz if ur less than 30 im going to be pretty surprised that u have so much of contempt and disregard for (1) the IT sector and its success down south and (2) people of lower caste...man! if u have so much contempt y did u come to this page in the first place? do u go around to every south indian song and post degrading comments?.....man!

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx shit head!

  • lol...Vijayanagara Empire was based in Humpi created by Kannadiags, aint that S.India fucknut? I'm not a lower cast if you must know but it shouldn't even matter should it? Typical castist and hate filled North Indians such as yourself are the reason why you people constantly kill each other in some sort of religious riots or terrorist attacks. Come back when North India has a better economy, education or healthcare than the south. We can only hope you hate filled dipshits stay in N.India.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx What the hell you are? Check out your District / even Ward member that you voted for might be low caste man/woman.... even after 60+ years after Independence, why the hell you fucking shit hang over the caste you bloody shit? I am from the so called low caste.... now i hold an important post for this country... if you dont want to bang on low caste, it is your fault and why dont you gave up the system formulated by a Low caste man, the Great Ambedkar? Bloody.

  • Comment removed

  • @jprithvi good reply dude lols

  • @jprithvi @dont ever talk about bangalore...

  • @jprithvi .Let me tell you one thing. We indians are lacking in integrity. That's because of people like you. how many riots did we have in Madras ??? why this 'WE' factor coming here . All are indians. Madras is Lucky not to have any riots or bomb blast. It's not an advantage for you . See how american are commenting on us. Any Pakistani will come and comment here also. You ass hole be an INDIAN 1st. jay hind.

  • @jprithvi Stop being ignorant and learn something from trains. When a train derails, death is least bothered if you are an Indian or Tourist or Tamil or Bengali. Just because you are some spiritual Indian or hold American PP, does not bother death. But if hold a Yale qualification, you maybe excused.

BTW TN express is also the best Non Rajdhani of India !!!

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx hey fucker dont you have any work ........such a good song the whole comments is based only upon your comment..........

    u are shit man .....

  • you say such a guy.. no matter north indian or where ever he is from is your friend..?

  • ....yeah he was a good frend....y?

  • @lily4emerald U don't need to give any heed to such idiots. They only serve to epromote the north-south divide & undermine the unity of our nation. Most punju's as we call them are poorly educated, have no real sense of Hindu culture or traditions & are poor ambassadors of Indian ethos outside the country. Yet, they always try to negate the creativity & imagination of others. But we need to tolerate these bad apples to preserve our harmony.

  • @adityabose26 ur right...its definitely the need to maintain harmony irrespective of how they actually perceive us that keeps us and them together in one country...but maybe if there was a little bit more tolerance and a little bit more general respect towards people belonging to other states it would be so much better...after all it is not enough just to "talk" about unity in diversity when u cant respect the diversity.

  • yhh i agree.. lykk the say the drama arase cant they call it ARASI

  • d perfect song

  • what a superb voice!! anubama is extremely good..

  • noting

  • if this can be seen in IMAX theatre then that would amazing....
