Fifth Gear - Porsche 911 Carrera 4S vs. Audi R8

Interesting to look at this old comparo and see where the two cars went (that was circa 2008?) and in 2009, the 911 got a facelift and dual clutch gearbox (PDK.) The R8 lost it's "novelty" and became just another R8, so those "first kid on the block" buyers were hurting on resale value and people said to be waiting a year or more, well, they all just vanished. Now, 2012, the 911 is all new and the R8 is dated. VW owns both brands and has team orders (1.Lamborghini, 2. Porsche, 3. Audi, 4. VW.)

In all fairness: the 911, in this version, is a pumped up sports car. The R8 is supposed to be a supercar.

Yes they might be somewhat equal in performance and price, but I think the R8 is aiming for more and it isn't reaching the "supercar standard". Not when a Carrera can keep up with you. Just my two cents.

@iby2091 carefull i watch both and true top gear is more funy to watch but these dudes are much better drivers remember tiff is Ex F1 race driver and already been in the top in LE MANS and Jason ... damn he's British Champion of touring cars and some other categories... so ... both shows are cool.. the other is more funny this is more driver's oriented.
