where's the part to 'beat the video game' at? lol i got 16,850 on this once..and the laser beam was almost non-stop lol. and i still got lucky one time, and passed it. i dont know anybody else who's done that. and i fucking HATE THOSE SQUIGGLY asteroids! lol pissed me and my little brother off so many times that we must have went through 10 joysticks.

I loved IMAGIC games more for the colors they chose for the games themselves and the incredible artwork on the boxes. I used to daydream in elementary school of the sounds in Cosmic Ark. The ship coming into the screen, then getting hit by an asteroid. When you get up on the really higher levels, the meteor showers and laser shooting starts to sound so cool.

I used to play Cosmic Ark (Atari 2600, 1982) at a friend's house. I remember getting to the "pac man" creatures, but no further. It was driving me nuts -- I had to know what came after than pac mans, or if that was close to the end of the game. I sent a letter Imagic, asking what happens after that level. Months later I got a reply from some gal in PR that said "keep trying".

Cool, back in 1982, when I was 9, this was cutting edge technology. I used to play this with a gigantic sheet over me and the TV with my friends. We had our own atari clubhouse.

Awesome test of reflexes. Number one hint is to look at the center and let your eyes use their motion trackers at the edges of your eye to respond to the meteors.

wicked - cosmic ark was a great game - i remember those lasers got really fast and frequent later in the game.
