Well there are two budds BMWs. One smaller dealership in Hamiltonon on upper James. And a huge one in Oakville. But I really just have the luxury package fully loaded. I own a 2003 that I bought at an auction last week and its like yours.
@IncredableDrE Thanks, I always thought Budd's was in Oakville, I guess I was wrong. But I mean the 7 series line is truly fantastic though it drives super smooth and for the most part it has been pretty reliable on me nothing too big has happend interms of mechanical etc. Did u get any personal options put in your car?
@abdul456 I thought I saw it on your licence plate cover. I was actually looking at buying a car from their dealership. How is there service? Have you had to take it in lots?
@GIB990099 Well I mean I took it in for its regular services and any problems I had were just addressed there so I never had to take it in too many times. There service is for the dogs the service advisors dont know squat shit and if you do buy your car from there beware of the mobility manager he thinks he is some cool fucking guy working min wage at BMW. So basically service is shit.
cool. does it have a sport mode? i feel like it has too many electronics, which eventually will lead to lots of repairs. i saw that u have close to a 100k miles, thats pretty impressive. but the 05 ls430s reliability it pretty tempting compared to the 7.
how reliable is the 745li? im looking to buy a 04, but im kinda hesitant bc i havent had that good of an expierence with the x5 (alternator, pixels, front blower) as compared to my 2000 ls400. btw are all these features standard on the 745li?
For me I have had no problems, the 04 is pretty good. I have also experienced many problems with the X5, well my friend actually did, I justy heard him yapping about it all the time. Most of the options are standard, except the auto closing trunk, soft close doors and the massage pass and driver seats. If you want any video request let me know, I need some new vid topics.
The 745i is extremely reliable, I kind of laughed at your, "bad experience" in the X5. All those things besides pixels are maintenance issues that any car typically needs eventually. If you think thats a bad experience then you probably don't make enough money to afford any car, period.
Even so thats less than $200 in repairs for all of that, so its kind of silly you even mention it.
I just want to point out that 4Matic isn't, "all wheel drive" it just goes into AWD when the car slips like a traction control. So its funny to me when people think they have some awesome winter car in the Merc. when it reality its just the same as the BMW's stability control or Cadillacs stability control ect.
Yeah, because most of the power is sent to the rear wheels, like 80 percent of the power, and different power is sent to different wheels in a very intelligent traction control. It's more like an advanced 4 wheel traction control with power to each wheel, rather than full time all wheel drive.
nice review for the average person, im looking to buy a 03 or 04 745li, im a mechanic for mercedes benz of beverly hillz and this is way nicer than the old s class (220 chasis), but not the new one. cant beat the price of a used 7 series tho. great car tho. I look forward to owning one.
great review and very beautiful car I always loved this year 7 series the news dont look as good in my opinion.Does it have traction control and stability control?
Thanks bro and yea it has both and the new 7 series aint that great i was invited to see it at a BMW special presentation and i was like wtf did they do.
Ive been looking at cars cause Im having another kid, Its between a 05 745, M45, Acura TL Type-s, GMC sierra Denali, or a QX56. How would you rate the back seat and cargo space? I've heard many complaints about i-drive but mostly cause there are too many options. Your vid makes want the 745 because of the amount of tech and quality inside the car.
Thanks bro, and the backseat n cargo is amazing, ur new kid will be safe inside the car in the rear cause it has sensors to sense a babyseat and it adapts everything. Dont forget ur baby will look sick rolling in the back of a 745. And congrads on ur new kid. If you need more vids let me know, currently it is in the shop for a service but ill get it back by monday. And their service is good its a no pay service warranty every service or problem is covered for free.
Appreciate it, after looking today, I've narrowed it to the 750Li/760Li(whichever i get a better deal on), M45, QX56. I'm currently driving a Altima 3.5 SE so either will be a huge upgrade. It was a nice car that got me through school and jobs, but now its time to upgrade. Whatever choice I make I'll def make a vid like this as it can help people, especially with an un-biased opion. Would you know if i-drive was fixed for the 750 or newer 760's?
Well in the 750's gen it was changed but not simplified, but in the newest 750's they are good and easy to use. But when i got invited to a sneak peak at the new 750's i couldnt not even get to the nav i found it more complicating. So get 2007 750 they are pretty cheap like 25,000

Do you drive the E500 for the winter?, because I noticed it's a 4Matic
1bentley4ever 2 years ago
Yea, I do but if I want to be risky I'll take the BMW out from time to time, as long as DTC is activated its alright.

I guess it snows quite a lot in Ontario. Lots of sleet. Vancouver seems a little warmer though.
