@krasava90 "Tryin to listen to Jesus its hard as fake boobs
At times i stay tuned hear the bread break and grape juice
A Grey Goose Gospel Prelude, let it play through"
@chrisdubs121 got the first part right, the next line is a reference to communion, which is done to commemorate Jesus' death. "The Grey Goose" is a old hymn that used to be sung at the beginning of a service or right before a sermon, hence the term 'Gospel Prelude.' hope this helps!
@krasava90 (1)The word after "grey goose" is gospel. This is a loaded verse, and an explanation might give you more questions than answers but you asked so here's what I got. This is talking about a Christian tradition called "communion", look it up, it will help you understand this. Communion involves breaking bread and drinking wine, but actually grape juice at most churches. What I think he is referring to by "grey goose gospel" is the argument between different churches about communion wine.
@krasava90 (2)Some ppl argue about what is ok for communion wine. But the main point is that he tries to hear Jesus, and that can be difficult. At times he stays tuned, or hears from Jesus. The bread breaking symbolizes Jesus' body broken on the cross. So in that sense he is using the words "bread" and "wine" to directly refer to Jesus. So when hears the bread break (and grape juice and grey goose gospel/good news), he means he hears Jesus and the things Jesus has done for him (ie. salvation).
@catramax yeah i know what you mean. but i feel like a lot of songs usually drag out to 4-5 minutes. i think shad plays the tune, gets his point across and makes it short and sweet. i kind of like it as a change.
i sometimes hate when a song starts...and a minute and a half into it the lyrics start lol. i see your point though, but i think i appreciate it more.
i am proud to have seen this guy in london lol i had no idea who he was going into the concert, but when i left i felt like i've been missing out for a looong time. props to u shad, and to anyone who likes this
162 views!?! No comments!? That is downright shameful..
I got this as a present a few weeks ago. I went in blind and came out thinking that this may indeed be the best album of 2010. Forget Drake, Shad is the best rapper to come out of Canada in the past year.. His rhythm and flow reminds me of Guru of GangStarr, that says it all.. Some insane lyrics too..
@TheSkrtel37 Its a shame. hes better then a whole bunch of rappers and they have million of views. If you put lil wayne or some other shitty rapper then it would have millions of views!!!
@clayzekilla I know, but that's the way the game works now. The rap game doesn't want rappers with a Masters degree, the rap game wants dickheads with grills, tattoos, bling and shit grammar.
With that said, Shad is starting to blow up. I heard Rose Garden on Radio 1 a few weeks ago, it's probably the most popular radio station in the UK..
