Uh huh. Did you know that Nixon won with the biggest landslide in history but after Watergate you couldn't find anyone who would admit they voted for him? There were a LOT of people who called themselves "independent" back then too. It was the South that put Carter into office. Nixon was supposed to be up against Bobby Kennedy but he was assassinated. The Delegates in Chicago picked Vice President Humphrey who was a hawk at a time when the base was anti-war. The resulting protest became a police riot allowing Nixon to play the "law and order" card.

Too Conservative a president - Ted Kennedy was right when he said Reagan made a lot more poor people in America ! RIP though, he was over-rated in some ways but i think he was a pretty good person
