I've listened to several great virtuosi play this Arthur Pryor classic, including Arthur Pryor himself recorded with Sousa's Band, April 15, 1901 (Crysta Records CD451), but Joe's is just the most brilliant and exuberant of the lot. You can sense that he's having fun playing it.

george williams and i are probably the biggest fans of joseph in the world , we are 15 year old trombonists at robertsdale high school . george just 4 weeks ago went to talahasee florida to have a 3 hour lesson from joseph and he came back with a changed atitude , he said that hearing joe play made him allmost want to quit hearing how good he was and how far he has to go before hes that good and george is allready well past a college skill level he can play the malcom fantasy allmost perfectly

@ericlawhammer well, if you just go in blind, expecting him to reveal the all knowing knowledge of trombonism, without you putting forth an IMMENSE amount of effort, yea, he wont be the most polite guy in the world. However, if you are able to keep up with his standards, he is a very nice guy. I'd know. I've met him.
