  • Small tip: Don't smoke while doing this

  • ok, don't ignite it :)

  • Very good but with some cars there is a third starting carb electrically controlled that basically throws fuel into the balance pipe. Rather troublesome IMHO. Carburettors are now only used on classic cars and old models.

  • wanna know why he talks so quietly? to make you listen................ and it works.

  • is not im bob ross

  • Its Bob Ross..The paint guy..Happy accidents!!!

  • i actually listen to this video over and over when i cant sleep his voice is so relaxing lol!!!!!

  • Lol@dude try to say this is Bob Ross haha

  • I don't think so pal....

  • Why are we whispering, ths dude sounds Borderline Serail killer like!

  • @buggsquasher HAHAHA I kinda thought Bob Ross Magic paint brush......

  • Now i think im gonna put a happy lil tree right here, and maybe one over here. its your painting just, just let your mind drift away.....

  • Great vids, but why is he talking so quietly? I keep expecting him to tell me to take my pants off, and that I better not tell Mommy and Daddy....

  • Propane - Taste the meat, not the heat.

  • @kellybolin Oh Yeah Just As Bad As Injecting Fuel Into Your Motor, Get A Grip You Stupid Fuck!

  • Good tip but why are we whispering?

  • try car cap.com.au and keep your car KOOL

  • LOL voice and hands

  • hey kids ......I got some Candy........voice.

  • Propane? Yeah ok Mr Wizard...

  • @emusoda You would be surprised... It works.

  • PROPANE? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Water should be a lot safer than PROPANE and does the same job. Well, that's what I learned in College....

  • ka-------------------------------------------------------------------------BOOM !

he's whispering because he doesnt want his boss to hear him opening up the carbs and making videos of them .and starter fluid or flammable carb cleaner still works and doesnt make the motor "runaway" like propane would .for about 10 dollars you can one by one replace every vacuum tube on a carb ,and if it is an intake leak change the intake gaskets.

  • LOL! Its not that the guys voice is weird, its just seems that theres one guy doing the voice, while another guy is doing the hand gestures.... and theyre off by a bit....lol!

  • "this guys voice freak me out" Well, he might be the Rodney Stanger. Search for him on youtube.

  • Mr. Bill checks for vacuum leaks with Mr. Hands and a propane can. You know the outcome.

  • @glion240 You know you got a leak when Mr. Hands melts.

  • Comment removed

  • lol... dont ignite it

  • Brilliant! why didnt I think of it, fill up an enclosed space that has numerous source's of ignition, with a combustable gas!! and thats not the most genius part of this little plan! I shoud do it while im leaning over this home made combustion chamber!

Dude you should start selling first aid kits and fire extinguihers, you'll make a killing

  • @888WulfDog888

It only takes a very minimal amount of gas flow.

  • then when your car blows up sue this guy for not giving proper advisorys :-D

  • Vote for me, Tim Calhoun...

  • Still used in dealerships today..

  • What a dumb fuck in todays world we simply use a leak detector jackass welcome to the 21st century!

  • Good video , makes alot of sense. Plus coming from a MOSS tech this Video is legit. Good job MOSS tech.

  • What would you use Gazpacho8?

  • Look me up little boy. I'm sorry if my spelling not up to your standards. Go ask your mother if you can work on your lawn mower.

  • @kennethrobinson11231 You obviously don't know how to convince someone of your position. You see, I said you were wrong about propane causing an explosion when used as described, because you said open flames could light a fire, ignoring the fact that the torch wasn't lit. You decided that you could win the argument by mentioning irrelevant things such as, your age, my videos about vintage lawn equipment, and Volvos. Do you see how this doesn't have anything to do with vacuum leaks?

  • @kennethrobinson11231 This is a common problem for unintelligent people such as yourself, you probably often loose focus in an argument, getting upset about things that were never mentioned, yelling, or attempting to mock the other person.

This is probably why you have never convinced someone else of your point of view, instead simply entertaining them with your ridiculous non-sequiturs and irrelevant ad hominem attacks.

  • YOU CALL ME STUPID AND YOU DRIVE A VOLVO, AND PLAY WITH SNOW BLOWER AND MOWERS. Grow up boy. I'm 64 and been a mechanic for over 48 years and own a mechine shop, and you're telling me that I'm stupid. What a joke you are.==========VOLVO, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A REAL CAR IS.==========VOLVO.

  • @kennethrobinson11231 You didn't actually reply to me, but I assume this is directed at me. I would point out that I never said you personally were stupid, I simply said your comment was/is. However, your silly personal attacks, all caps typing, and misspelling of machine does now indicate that you are a complete imbecile. You are obviously lying about your age and are actually 12 years old.

  • He sounds like he's hiding in the closet from his wife lol

  • @mrjost55~lol!

  • This guys voice is awesome. -_-

  • the narrator is not freaky, he just has:

    a) a too sensitive microphone and so he HAS TO whisper

    b) a noise stressed boss that has the office next door and so he HAS TO whisper

    c) no idea about how a presentation audio should sound like and so he whispers

if none of the above are true, then he is an audio distortion paranoid guy.

either way, the result is HORRIBLE (say it whispering and only then you'll freak out)...

  • propane is he crazy that can cause an explosion

  • he sound like (bob ross) painter

  • nice su carbs!

  • That is not real smart to put flames around gasoline. It there saw a small amount of gas on the maniflow you will have a fire. Thats dumn.

  • @kennethrobinson11231 He's says do not ignite the propane burner.

  • @kennethrobinson11231 He didn't say to ignite the torch, you would know this if you paid attention instead of skimming the video and leaving a stupid comment.

  • @Gazpacho8 I don't think I'm skimming anything. And as far as being stupid, I might be. But I'm not 1/2 as STUPID as you are, because there is a lot of ways to check for vacuum leaks and this is not one of them.

  • @kennethrobinson11231 Moss motors is a well respected company and specialists in British cars, I would trust them more than you. You said that the propane torch could ignite the gasoline, this is not true because he didn't say to ignite the torch. It's a perfectly fine way to test for vacuum leaks as demonstrated here.

  • if people dont have anything beneficial to say. just shut the fuck up, thank you people

  • is he talking or being programmed to annoy

  • I dislike his voice. He could study how to change his voice or intonation

  • When a vehicle has a vacuum hose leak, does it cause the car to vibrate violently when you get up to a certain speed? Also, when you come to a complete stop (red light, stop sign), does the car sometimes cut off? If that's not the cause of a vacuum hose leak, then what is?

  • @ParadiseofTruth a vacuum leak won't cause a violent shake I don't think. And when you come to a stop and the car cuts off could be a vacuum leak at the brake booster.

  • I like the calm voice.

  • sounds dangerous lol

  • Man, imagine him talking dirty...."Now, im going to show u how to clean ur valves. Im going to swab a healthy amount of axel grease and run my fingers around the rims. then Im going to go deep inside in circular motions...At this point ur idle should be abnormal.....

  • Someone is sleeping in the next room....

    Sssshhhh.....

  • "Just ease out a little bit of propane... no, not too much..."

    BOOOOM!!!

    "Err - found it!"

  • he sounds like bob ross.

  • I need to figure out what's wrong with my car but I cannot listen to this guy's voice. Car problem frustrations then that voice? No no no.

  • His wife is in bed and he does not want to wake her while making this video! LOL

    SHHHHHhhhhhhhh.......

  • Nice and clear instructions. Easy to follow.

  • can i use a lighter if there is no propane torch laying around?

  • SSHHH!! be very very quiet.

  • WHY YOU WHISPERING!?

  • Thank you, much appreciated

  • Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to try this when the weather gets better.

  • Informative, yes, but i.m.o. tutorials should be done in proper clear english instead of this shitty mumbling

  • If you did not get any good info from this, and can only talk crap about him atleast trying to help, then you need to not say anything. I don't remember seeing any "useful" posts from you....

  • Need i repeat to you what i say at the beginning of my comment?

I already knew this information, saw it as a related video... i´m 45, and not new on vintage mechanics, but learning every day.

If i ever upload a spoken video it will be in proper clear english, ever heard it?

  • "- And if you hear a loud BOOM and you wake up on the roof of your house, then you know you found your leak" :))

  • i did it and the engine dont change the rpm s fluctuation HELP

  • If you did the test and your engine's RPMs didn't change, then you do not have a vacuum leak. What are your symptoms? Maybe I can help.

  • well i did actually and sometimes revs up and sometimes dont ,the engines heats up very quick and when i race the engine when is cold the revs get downs very slow.

  • thxfor the tip ill try that now

  • Am not sure I would want to use propane near a hot engine. Surely it is flamable?

  • yes, it's flammable but you need an open flame for it to ignite.

  • "I'm going to paint a happy little tree right here"

  • hahaha, "that one probably squirted out in the pants a little bit........yep that was definitely a squirt"

  • this guys voice freaks me out >.>

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one.

  • @Silverkaidragon it is a lil freaky

  • @Silverkaidragon "come get in my van i have candy" lol =]

  • @Silverkaidragon He sounds like hes scared.

  • @Silverkaidragon Should be done by C. Walken.

  • @Silverkaidragon ... Haven't any of you dudes ever snuck into the garage to work on something without your wife knowing cause she wanted you to take her shopping for clothes?

  • very informative videos

  • The best way to find a vacuum leak Is to use a 3' 1/4 inch rubber hose. Place one tip of the hose by your ear, then use the other end and surface where you suspect there might be a leak. You might even find more then you bargined for. Im not an employed mechanic, but I do build high HP motors and vaccums are always a culpret.

  • hi , I'm a mechanic and we just use engine start spray can it works fine!

  • Sounds like Bob Ross... you know, the painter guy with the big afro... always talking about happy trees

  • Dude! that's exactly what i was thinkin :D

  • why u been sneaky if i do this is my car gonna blow up or something?

  • Why is he keeping his voice down?

  • hes being sneaky

  • LMFAO

  • Microphone gain. Not all studio equipment is created the same.

    Good video, though.

  • im not soo fond of taking propane to my car, thats just me tho

  • You might want to add a couple things, like, don't spray carb cleaner or propane on a hot engine it will ignite if hot enough / or where it will pool and ignite when you start the engine,if you don't know what your doing get a3ft piece of 3/8 or 1/2in hose put it to your ear.put the other end where you think its coming from(motor running-watch the fingers on the fan/belt,or you'll have less of them.

  • if your such a car genius then why dont you posy your own video. Loser!!!

  • Thank You!!! Atleast I'm not the only one who thinks these noobs need to mind their own damn business. lol

  • RedsRun has replied to your comment

First off, propane will not ignite unless you have an open flame or glowing hot piece of metal in the area that you are using the propane. Second, thanks for the idea of the hose. NOOBS ? PROPANE WILL IGNITE WHEN HEATED TO COMBUSTION POINT,WASNT TRYING TO KNOCK YOU REDS,SOMEPEOPLE ARE BORDERLINE MENTALY CHALLENGED AND WOULDNT THINK IF IT POOLED THAT IT WOULD IGNITE.JUST PUTTING MY TWO CENTS IN.
