If you need to add or change data in your production company file from a restored company file created from an older company file backup, back up your production file then, do it manually or contact a local QuickBooks Pro Advisor to merge and check the data.
Delete the folder because it is only a temporary copy of your restored company file used for review. You would not ever want to confuse it for your production company file.
Can the new copy be integrated with the old copy, without erasing the original copy?
If so how does this work?

Why do you want us to delete the folder?
What does this do?
