I agree, he's not even holding them like Le Chiffre. I keep trying to post this: You gotta cradle the chips between your pinky and ring finger and support the sides with your middle and index finger. Then take the side of your thumb and flip it back quick. When you flip it back you need to retract your middle finger and press the chips together and push them up to get ready for the next flip.

It's called the thumb flip, this is the easiest chip trick to learn. You can do this trick with only two chips and by using only your middle, index, and thumb once you get good enough. Anyone can learn this within 15 minutes. I took chips to school and taught several people to do it within half an hour. It's not hard! If you wanna learn it you can.

i did it first with 3 chips as you see. But with more (like 5 ) its easier. Good luck :)

the more you take it is harder to lift the first chip but easier to let it end on the right place, so with 3 chips for example its easy to lift but hard to end. with 6 its hard to lift but easy to end. 5 and 4 is the most equal
