  • These guys use Barcus Berry pickups attached to distortion boxes, and I think some of them have an additional pickup (which brand I don't know) that's really expensive.

  • they have contact microphone with a pre amplification in the bottom of the cello... they put the microphone in the wooden part at the middle of the cello.. sorry for not giving the name because i only know the name of that part in spanish
