The thing with that story (besides being too short) is I dont think they originally planned for her to be the real Carly in the first place. The reasons for fake Carly to hate her was far fetched!
To answer your question miggy25, the actress was fired cause she was pregnant. Same thing happened to Lesli Kay. He never really mourned her cause TPTB wanted Sonny and Emily to cause friction with Jason. Reese was the best.
What's the purpose? If Daytime shows can keep pregnant actresses on the show w/o writing their pregnancy into the SL, why can't soaps?? I remember JP saying how when Jennie Garth was preg in real life and how every time he shot her, she was always carrying bags or maybe like standing behind something! I know that's what they said they did for Phylicia Rashād when she was preg on the Cosby Show. They even got a new, higher counter top. There's 100 ways to go around things like this nowadays!!!
@AngieM82 they were best friends in hi schl and when carly 1st came to PC she claimed to be Charlotte (Carly) but really Reece is Charlotte But Carly thought she died in a car accident so she stole her name so as to decieve Bobbi....then it came out that she was really Carolyn (Carly) not Charlotte ( Carly) I hope I didnt confuse you lol Carly can be short for so many C names so she ,Carly, went for it... Charlottes father seduced a vaulnerable and viginal Carly so started their hatered
I completely missed this too...I was SO MAD they killed off Reese...I loved her and Sonny and really think they were a HUGE missed opprotunity by TPTB...I thought she really could've been Sonny's next great love if they had played it right...but they ruined it with Reese's whole connection to Carly from high school
I still cannot believe that they killed her off. ReeSon was the hottest thing on GH. In 2005, they were even voted the hottest couple. I don't get it. They were awesome! Sonny didn't even really grieve for her - he kinda just moved on to Emily.
I think Ric might've been a bit more...talkative, but he did say a lot of good things. I think Reese was prolly one of the few people he wasn't so--evil around.
Thank you for posting this. I completely missed it when it aired so I appreciate being able to see how affected Sonny was by her death. bTW this reminds me how upset I was when they killed John off, only to stick the actor in the show Psych. John was a jerk but he was a phenomenal actor and great addition to the show.
