Man..I just read that WILLIE WATSON..has parted ways with the OLD CROW guys..SAY it ain't SO!!..I read it on they're link..I am so.bummed! But on a good note, they also got CRITTER Fuqua back..that is a plus..
first heard of these guys at camp. one of the other staff guys was playing Wagon Wheel by himself and singin during a campfire, and it sounded so amazing. I wish I could have gotten a recording of him, but none the less, I am now and forever a fan of Old Crow
This is one of the most brilliant videos on YouTube! Thank you so much for uploading!! Aren't they just fabulous? WOW. I wish you would enable 'syndication' on this video. I can't watch it from my Iphone or iPad because you have not enabled syndication and mobile devices. If you did that, you would be doing the world a whole lot of good! :-) ~GTW
Saws these guys live in Macon GA earlier this year. Been to MANY concerts, these guys put on one of the best I have ever seen. Even did a three song encore! This video does no justice to seeing them live.
But who does the mainstream radio play and record companies force feed us? Taylor F-'in Swift. This is talent, real talent. They should be selling millions of records and playing sold out arenas instead of her. I can't listen to mainstream music, most of it is just horseshit (pardon my french). This is real, good music.
@isthatadragon hey. remember he was having a nice long toke so it it possible to go west from the cumberland gap to j.c. he may have went 40 west then 81 north my friend
WOW...I heard this the other night on 98.1 KVET (Austin, TX) and I was blown away!!! I had to Amazon buy it and have been playing this song back to back to back!!! Dream show: OCMS, Aaron Watson, Kevin Fowler, Pat Green, Charlie Robison, and Jack Ingram...just to name a few!!!! Song makes me feel really good!!!! Awesome job guys, really awesome!!! Please, keep it up...can't to see you guys in Austin.
this is such a great fusion. It bluesy, blue grassy, a folksy all in one. It almost makes you want head down south to the land of pines and thumb your way down to North Carolina.
First saw them at the Cambridge folk festival a good number of years ago. They weren't on the line up, they were there as back up support to Gillian Welch on a nationwide tour and decided to put on an impromptu performance on the grounds of the site standing around a tree. They did at least half a dozen tunes and completely blew me and my brother away. Later that night one of the bigger names failed to make it . On came the OCMS and within minutes had 15000 people in the palm of their hands.
Man this is epic. First heard these guys a couple years ago while hiking on the Pacific Crest Trail near Echo Lake in Northern CA. It was Fall, it was cold and starting to rain, and I was by myself and had my little headphone radio tuned to Garrison Keillor. They and Garrison kept me happy for many miles. I've like them ever since.
I think my favorite part is when the guy shakes his head at 3:40. I think he is saying "damn I cannot believe how great this song is." I am the same way every time I hear this song. Phenomenal.
I'm glad that there are still talented bands like this around, playing music that people can actually relate to and sing together late at night when everyone's drunk having a good time. awesome.
i love you guys u play the unfamiliar old music that is un heard of today and i started off hating country you guys changed that and i love this music its the best if only more ppl in ma school no about you cus i get made fun of ppl cause i listen to you but screw them they wouldnt know good music till they heard you
@theswampland cured all my ails, awesome tunes.the chicks do look hotter than a firecracker on the 4th of july.Rock on with the old crow medicine show.
@MrAnderson123 haha Are you kidding me man??? The harmoney is what makes the Chorus sound the way it does!!!!!!! thats part of why you like the song and dont even realize it lol, it gives the song texture, depth and the harmonic timbre is extravagant between the two, they sound great together!!! can you tell im a music major? not to mention of the guys went to school with a friend of mine in Watkins Glen NY lol
man I saw these guys at bonaroo, and we were all stompin our feet with our pant legs rolled up, barefoot in the dirt. most fun I've ever had a show before
I first heard about these guys on the railroad revival tour. Theyre unreal. Im so pumped to see that bands are still puttin out music like this. Just crack a beer, pick up a guitar n enjoy. O.C.M.S FTW!
Man... back in rural Maryland where I'm from, when it strikes midnight at a party, someone puts this on and we all sing along. if you turned it off, well it was your fault that you got your ass kicked. but up here in boston its all techno and dubstep and hardcore. i just want my good ol country bands back...
@BaCkMtNgAnG4rEaL My friends and I always play this song downtown when the bars close.. everybody loves this song like crazy! Especially awesome fun drunk ass people
I absolutely love these guys. But I have a dilema: I was in New Orleans about six months ago, and we came across these beautiful boys who performed - barefooted, hillbilly style, (sooooooo cool) I would really wud like to find out who they are and where they are. They were that bleeping good!
@thereisaplace I thank u very much for your help but unfortunately these are not the guys. They were like very young street kids playing at the corner of Royal and Bourbon. Thanx again
Maybe you are thinking of the Sweet Street Symphony or the Slick Skillet Serenaders? Look them up on here, they are fairly well known busking bands in New Orleans. They're amazin
I've sang this song to my daughter since she was five days old. She's ten months old now and this song has become her lullaby.
