@MissRetroP You must either improve the percolation or deal with raised beds. I did another video where I dug a big pit and filled it half way with chips for drainage. I put good soil on top and so far, that planting area seems to be working. Try amending the soil but unless you have good drainage, your roots will still sit in water.
I have really bad clay in my back yard, I added leaves and grass clippings and tilled it once or twice a day for 2 weeks and it helped a ton. Think I will add some sand this fall.
you didn't really tell us what we could do for clay soil if we still wanted to plant in the ground
