I think Julian is a huge influence to The Strokes sound. You can prefer other members over him and still be a fan of The Strokes but you can't hate him and say you're a fan. He writes the majority of the songs, his amazing voice sings them, he puts the emotion into it...if you hate him, you have no reason to be listening.
