This song and the way he sings it reminds me of "Everybody Knows" by Leonard Cohen. Everlast is a very talented lyricist, he really knows how to paint a picture of the story he's telling while being empathetic to the characters in his stories, even if the people make bad decisions, or "do things for all the wrong reasons".
