Having been a tax collector during my career, I can tell you that "new money" is new property on the roll that wasn't there last year, so that the revenue goes up without increasing the tax rate. The "new money" is the new dollars from the new property. That is not the case in the US today. We have no new property, but rather less, because of higher Federal taxes on what we have. Harry is a liar.

These things are all the Senate has to do to turn this economy around, and fast:
1. Extend the 2001 and 2003 tax reductions for as long as possible--certainly through at least 2013 to prevent a tax increase. Better yet, make the tax reductions permanent; and
2. Reduce tax rates on individuals, small businesses, and corporations through 2013 by lowering the top rate by 10 percentage points and reducing rates by similar amounts for lower income level taxpayers.
Simple as that.

If you're poor, there are literally dozens of federal, state and local programs designed to assist you until you get to a point of self subsistence. Doesn't include all the non governmental programs that are available, as well. Living below the poverty line also entiltles you to virtually, if not totally FREE healthcare for you and yours. This is existing policy. Helping yourself means doing whatever is necessary to lift yourself out of your current situation. Motivating you is not anyone's job.

My advice, invest in precious metals (gold, and silver especially as it is still relatively cheap). My guess you have 1 year before the dollar is finished and inflation hits hard. This welfare bill will also only serve to further freeze the credit markets as the feds will need buyers for billions in Tbills. These things are all the Senate has to do to turn this economy around, and fast:
1. Extend the 2001 and 2003 tax reductions for as long as possible--certainly through at least 2013 to prevent a tax increase. Better yet, make the tax reductions permanent; and
2. Reduce tax rates on individuals, small businesses, and corporations through 2013 by lowering the top rate by 10 percentage points and reducing rates by similar amounts for lower income level taxpayers.
Simple as that.

Who cares!!! Its only money. Print more of it and invent some new formula for turning it into more. Money is not real. Its just a piece of paper that has value because of mechanisms that have been in place for 200 years. There is more debt in the world than there is hard currency to pay it all back. The fundamentals of our economy couldn't be stronger and this bill just reinforces that. Spend more money and pay it back later. Damn we have been doing it for 200 years so why stop now.

No cuts in this bill? Just more pork. The Federal government needs to CUT about 50% of what they are doing. What the Feds do, they do poorly. All I want is for them to keep a bad *ssed military to protect the country. The rest should be left to local governments or to the churches. The Federal government is EVIL, and needs to be starved for funds. Your money is your liberty, and the less money you have, the less liberty you have. Vote the spenders out ASAP.
