I've read different accounts of what or who the lyrics in the chorus are referencing. Azerrad interpreted it as being about the fans who liked Nirvana's music, but just didn't get the message, and Cross said it ostensibly references Dylan Carlson, Kurt's friend, who liked shooting guns and liked Kurt's catchy songs, "but he knows not what it means." I like both interpretations, personally.

kurt never played guitar right handed or had a right handed mustang to my knowledge (which is pretty extensive)

however, he was both right and left handed, he also wrote with his right hand at times too.

@LilHermanIsBack I just noticed that, he might have been playing right handed or the image could have been flipped (in reverse), i've seen it happen before but usually a right handed player looks like he's playing left-handed.

@FuzztoneProductions The image isn't flipped. We're facing him and he's facing oposite of us, so our lefts and rights are switched from his in the image. He's playing left handed.

@StuffedMannequin Actually, if you know anything about guitar, the image is flipped, to be playing right handed, the headstock would be facing KURT'S left, like it is in the image. Think of it this way, to play right handed, you would use your right hand to pluck the strings.

@vikingberserker1 Kurt was right handed but he taught himself to play left handed. If you watch any videos of Kurt doing normal everyday things it is obvious that he's right handed. At the end of Unplugged when he is signing autographs he signs with his right hand. Peace
