@rawrximaxtoaster when you get it done in a shop, they will tell you to keep the first bar in for 4 weeks. that gives it time to heal because if you change it out before that, you may not be able to get the replacement bar in. if it is not healed properly it will close up faster. i have pulled out my lip ring after 2 days before and as i was trying to put the new bar in, it was already healed shut so i had to re-pierce it. dont make that same mistake. hurts worse the second time. hope it helps!

i have been doing thissince forever. everything i do is just unscrew the little ball at the end and then when im arouind my parents i take it out and just hold it somewhere in muy mouth and but you can kinda see it when the piercing is actually in the hole so just to be on the safe side, i take it off.

I have angel bites and have for almost a year now, I've already switched them, but I'm doing cheer next year, and they don't allow facial piercings (in during practice) which I don't understand. For games and competition I can see why, but practice I find a hastle, do you think if I used your bioflex trick it would stay in? I don't know if they can heal completely. But I've had angel bites and snakebites and I've taken them out. After about half a year to a year the hole gets shallower so it is hard to see but i've had them out for a year and a half and the impression is still there, barely though.

But the actual hole closes up in a few days, so after that you cannot get jewelry in. I've heard that this healing time varies from person to person so I wouldn't rely on my answer.

@kiwucha Oral piercings should not have a bioflex bar, or any plastic post at first because it can possibly not heal correctly, so I personally would wait until about 2 weeks before changing it from a metal piece of jewelry to a bioflex bar. :)

I use a bioflex bar in my labret as my work HATES piercings, but I also have a plug so it doesnt fall out. You can get the plug in transparent or flesh tone, however the flesh tone made mine look like a really horrible white head, the transparent also made it look a little like a spot but not as bad and it meant it couldnt fall out, which is great if its just been pierced :)
