Publically the cheapest i can get someone a MGT is $133K USD. As my business is in the automotive business i could get it discounted for myself quit substantially around $100K-$110KUSD.

Anyway encase people wanted to know i sold the MGT and bought a Lamborghini Superleggera. Thought long and hard for the 430 Scuderia but in the end wanted a V10. Tossed up a Audi R8 but didnt like it after a test drive, again felt under powered like the MGT. Soon to be Twin Turbo

I went from a Maserati Quattroporte to the Gran Turismo. Sexy car, performance isnt up to scratch for the money. Will be selling the Gran Turismo to either get a F430 Scuderia, 599 Fiorano or the California. Just not happy with the Gran Turismo. Other option is a Murcielago which i love but not so practicle where i live (it will scrape everywhere). I wish i could afford a Zonda :(

Correct, for exotics/high end cars you would like more horsepower/kW. Same would go for the Ferrari 360. Both have disappointing power outputs. Anyway still selling the MGT, but ive bought a Audi A8 W12 in the UK. 450 horsepower out of the box and it will be getting twin turboed as of next week. Should make a responsive 700hp thanks to the 6L capacity.

Its luxury car tax + GST + import duties + State and Federal Taxes+ Registration Costs. Exotics and super cars are about 2-2.5 cheaper in the US and UK. Australia really tries to keep afloat the domestic automotive manufacturing market and doesnt want a repeat of what happened in NZ when they opened up imports without tax. I for won would love to see Australian automotive manufacturing fail. Then people can work for the import market and we get decent cars for cheap.

@binyamj Theres multiple reasons. 1. Australia has insane taxes for the wealthy, the attitude is, if you can afford to buy the car, you can afford the 100% tax. Also to protect the australian car market, Meaning if you buy a car from GM (Holden/ Chev) you get a brand new car for around 30-40 thousand but if you wanted a BMW for example, a entry model would be at least 50-60. Its just fucked.
