  • So why did this happen she just torn it running or is it the by product in the dog food?? Curious?? So glad she's doing better though.

  • @NMIBUBBLE No, wasn't due to any excessive exercise or feeding. It's more to do with the breed. It is quite common with certain breeds.

  • @utegirl70, Oh so sad Thanks for letting me know!:)

  • Hello.

My lab has had ccl surgery 2 days ago. He has had a traditional repair (extracapsular). What kind of surgery did Judi have? Thanks

  • @akanou77 Hi, I'm sorry, but I don't know the exact professional term of what Judi had. All the bills say is, "Cruciate surgery".

  • @utegirl70 Thanks. I just hope my dog will run like Judi one day :)

  • @akanou77 They will! As you can see from the other videos, she is well and truly back to her normal self. :o)

  • Hello, we are facing the same problem with our dog Zola. As per vet, there are no other options just a surgery. Could you please post Judis video how she is doing now, after 2 month. It will help as to make a decision we are scared to make. Thanks in advance and the best wishes to your Judi.

  • Hiya, Don't be too worried. Judi has recovered in leaps and bounds, literally!

If you look through my other videos, you will find one titled, "Judi goes Bunta"...there you will see just how good she is now. No limping at all, no constrictions.

She is a happy, healthy dog.

The alternative is just not worth thinking about.

Ask your vet for more information if you still feel unsure. But I know for a fact, Judi would not be as happy today if she did not have the surgery. Good luck!

  • Hello! My dog is about to have a surgery like that in few days, I wonder how is the recover port operation, was it really painfull? Traumatic? How was the process after awakening from anesthetic? How long did your dog waited to get up and walk again after surgery? I´m really scared to experience the whole situation, I can´t see my dog suffering in pain, I need some orientation from you please. Thanks.

  • Hi, as you can tell, Judi was up and walkiing around in this video only a couple of days after her operation. She was allowed to walk gently, only to go and do toilet duty. As with any operation, there will be some pain, but your vet should run through all of that, and medication anyway. She is a hundred percent better now! Well worth it.

  • Thanks so much for your comment! I apreciate it. I know it´s going to be hard for both of us, I must be strong enough to deal with the recovering process. It´s just that I don´t want to see him suffer, I don´t want him to hurt himself because of the pain, I live by myself, nobody around to help me in case I need it. I will do my best to help him go through this. Thanks a lot !!!

  • You'll be Ok. As long as he can see/know you are there when he's recovering, that's all that matters. They don't have expectations like we do. As long as they have their familiar surroundings, and loved ones, they do fine.

Good luck! And let us know how he goes. :o)

  • Thanks so much!!! I´ll keep in touch.
