Grand Couloir, Courchevel - 3 Valleys March 09

Just got back from La Tania - did Grand Couloir, stacks of snow. Don't look down... the ledge was not much fun on the board...

Suprised they haven't put safety ropes/nets on either side of this run!

@Willz08z because there are two other couloirs going off, much harder, called Sous Pylons and Emile Allais. Both are off piste

you should take some snowboarding lessons ... there are some mistakes that r really easy to evitade

Done it again this half term about 10 times I love the thrill of skiing down the ridge, persoNlynthe conditions were worse this year when I did it, it had the biggest moguls and lack of snow. I preferred doing it last year when we had a White out XD

Just come back from skiing holiday, done grand couloir 5 times and wish could be there now to do it again! Nicely done and thank you for the memory!!!!!

Going to Val Thorens on 11th of December, hopefully won't be so mogulled to hell at the beginning of the season, not very enjoyable traversing all those moguls on a board. Fresh powder would be nice.

just got back from Courchevel but the avalanche warning was 4 so would of been daft to attempt this, although would rather do it with a bit of fresh so as to get a bit more speed up!

the path before you drop looks rough! although again, probs better with a bit of fresh on top.

gonna attempt this in Feb when I go back, you done any of the other coloirs?

Haven't done any of the other couloirs - the Grand Couloir is the only one officially marked as a piste so I don't think I would have been insured to do the others!

@TomSwift77 THe others really arent tough. In fact if you drop in just under the cable car you miss the path. and i doubt the path is ever nice even with a bit of powder
