I like the idea on the video, but if you`re gonna use such a battle style, then it should be a more aggresive jogo, but i see one of them doing 1 thing and the other hardly moves...

Besides that, its still good capoeira. And for the haters out there... remember that the ginga is diferent for every group, some variations of ginga might look bad to us the groups that protect our face while at it... but to them it might be how it wa ssupposed to be.

Jeez. Harsh words here. Look, Capoeira is not a secret anymore, and people are going to start experimenting. You can't expect that Capoeira is going to remain static forever. Now there are for sure things on this video that I think are poor choices. But for heavens sake there's no reason to insult these guys for doing what they love, and expressing themselves. It ceases to be an art form if there is no room for change or individualism.

I've heard the line "go find a good capoeira teacher" before. Let me remind you that there are still PLENTY of places where that is simply not an option for people; places with no Capoeira teachers at all. So are they supposed to just never even try the game? What about people who can't afford it? They're not allowed in the club either? Capoeira enters the lives of people who need it in many ways, and that's a good thing.

You're totally right! I was at a batizado with these wannabes last year and all they did was trick. I kicked the co-founders ass and handed it to him on a silver platter with his name on it. These guys had to get the basics taught to them by Mestre Acordeon, who thought they were freaking stupid. It looks like they didn't practice.
