  • "I feel cold inside like a man sleeping on pavement under the bridge of I20 west, and the stress on the face of the man cussing out the atmospher but nobody close enough to hear". For some reason that line really makes me cringe.. I dont know if Gipp meant it like this but I take it as Nobody cares about how you feel inside and nobody care about listening.. Freaking great

  • @Vokab27

I've always liked that line too.

  • rip bobbie napier murdered at age 16-i tried to tell himto choose a different lifestyle

but i could not work miracles......

  • one of my favorites songs ever

  • All of Goodie Mob showed their ass on this Album. This (and the entire album) is straight hard social-conscious stuff, laced in an Afrocentric paradigm. Goodie Mob needa get back to this. These kids need this stuff and quit trying to fucking hard. Know thyself Afrikan people!

  • @AfrikanDiaspora

    trying to "act" fucking hard.

  • I lived in NY when this dropped. Nothing ever or will compare to it. Mobb Deep was good but cannot compare to Goodie Mob. They put the struggle in a completely different light. I don't care where you from Concrete Jungle or Dirty South (backyard Bush) the struggle is what it is - A STRUGGLE. Ceelo killed every verse every bar dropped on this

  • Hits hard with a good bass system

  • one of the best tunes ever made. lyrics, beat, flow everything is spot on! killer.!!

  • Atlantas Tru soul right here, things just aint the same.

  • remember all the shout outs back in the 90's for each specific year? They never do that shit anymore. I noticed it was mostly a 90's thang. 95 was a good year!

  • amazing song

  • this album is amazing

  • I wouldnt put it OVER southern playalistic, but this is still one of the ATL's best CD's.

  • i have to put this album over southerplayalisticnusic, this song is epic, Cee-Lo show his ass all over this album

  • I too would put this over Southerplayalistic - and yes I am a fan of both. Dungeon Family!

  • @Garcapone Yes Siiiiiiiiir every Cee-Lo verse made you think right!!!

Everything going on in this world even up to this day they spoke about in alot of thier music. Many many people slept on THE MESSAGE☺

    Peace& Infinite Love G

  • i such a great album, era.

  • If you from the South then you know that this was our Soundtrack form our street experience. New York had Mobb Deep during this time and we had Goodie Mobb during this time. No disrespect to others but this is OUR experience a different hustle for a different experience. True CLASSIC...!

  • I dont easily say this . but this song is one of the best songs ever. i think i will listen this again after 10 years

  • Sounds like an East Coast beat, but still a great song off of an amazing album!

  • man this song has some of the best lyrics ever!

  • My fav. off SoulFood

  • It's about time sum1 put this up...

I accidentally broke my "Soul Food" a couple of months ago :-(

  • Shit man, something fell on my CD case and snapped my Soul Food in half too, strange shit.

One of the illest songs right here
