Hell, when Kevin is talking in these interviews most people aren't even listening to him, they are staring at the screen blankly thinking to themselves, "Oh this idiot will be dead soon." or something to that effect. People don't even pay him enough mind to allow him to get his message across and it's a sad thing. A very sad thing indeed. The ignorance of people is, to this day, astonishing to me.

@keko4321 Probably. There are some breeds of dogs that are very similar, like for example the Caucasian Ovcharka. It's almost as big as a lion and loves it's family a lot, but if some animal or human threatens it's family it will bite their head off. This is instinctive and without any training, the breed is like 2000 years old, it was originally bred to defend sheep from bears and wolfpacks.

Kevin Richardson works with lions that have been born and raised in captivity and who live in controlled compounds in their natural habitat. Richardson himself says he would never try to interact with lions in the wild this way. It is an entirely different situation and Treadwell got himself killed because he didn't understand the difference. Treadwell had no scientific background.

Treadwell did NOT have even close to the same level of relationship with those bears as Kevin does with these lions. As a matter of fact, Tim didn't have any relationship with the bears outside of them knowing he wasn't a threat. Look at FreeGiftOffers comment, he pretty much summed up the differences.

I understand why he likes hanging out with lions more than humans. I feel the same way about big dogs who could easily maim me but would much rather be lazy with me and sleep with their head on my lap. As a species we've isolated ourselves so much from nature that we don't even think of ourselves as animals anymore, we're like aliens on this planet, that's why humans are all depressed and taking pills. We need to embrace nature again - but it'll never happen, we'll just keep destroying it.

I adore big animals, like bears and tigers, but I also understand that a 9mm clip may not stop them if need be. Certain animals, like leopards do not have the sense of fear! They kill for fun!

It would just be logical; you go in to pet the lions, well, you have a Glock 20 strapped. Those lions have their weapons on them, and it does not mean they will use them. Just have it on you, b/c if a lion starts stranggling you, you may have a good chance of taking the lion down.
