I've been a MAC-user since 2006. I just bought a brand new Macbook Pro thats a 15inch Unibody model. 2.4gb GHz core 2 duo and 250gb HDD with 4gigs of ram. I get about 5 hours of life on it. Compared to my old (the one before this model) -->the 13.3" MC207ll/a (I believe I got it for 1067$ at Bestbuy-brand new) it had 7hours. But I don't really care. I just need it for high school and college -hah! (I'll be in 9th grade next year.) I already make over 1000$ a week =)! -USA

Honestly it really depends on you, Personally I'll get the 13 inch because for me portability is always a plus. Instead of the size you can see on the apple online store that the first 15 inch at 1699$ has exactly the same specs as the 13 inch at 1499$ so you pay 200$ to get a bigger screen but if you go with the 15 inch a 1999$ you get the Nvidia Geforce 9400m GT so it can do more intense gaming and video editing but the Nividia Geforce 9400m still really good for games and video processing.

yea 13 inch is kinda too small for me. idk the screen feels soo limited. i prefer 15 inch, or 17 but thats too expensive. id go with 15 and it has better battery life.

thanks :) I got a mac because i have heard such good things, To be honest, if you are on a budget, get a pc, you can do everything on a pc that you can on a mac, but on the mac everything is just easier and less stressful. For movie editing, FCP is just like Prem in my opinion, and music storage can be done on an old 95 so, if you have the extra cash to spend, get a mac, after all, it can run Windows

yeah, if you plug it in ot the mains, just dont unplug it for about 6 hrs or so for its first ever charge, this is where i went wrong. Doing this wil make your battery last much longer. You can turn it on during this time.

Meaning I should plug the Macbook into the main and boot up. Then go through set up and all that. But make sure that it isn't unplugged for 6 hours. Also does this mean I can turn it on and off regardless without affects the battery life?

Awesome mate that is a wonderful machine, we got our daughter one for Christmas and I know that a lot of people think that was a waste for an 8 year old but she has Dyslexia and so we hope that the machine will help her all the way through her schooling.
