I think I was most puzzled by FDS's question, "Are you married? Why?". Why shouldn't atheists marry? It's perfectly possible to leave God out of the ceremony, and it doesn't follow that atheists scoff at marriage as a result of their unbelief. The question/accusation is totally out of left field.

Atheist doesn't imply that one knows that god doesn't exist. It implies that you are without belief i.e that the evidence for god doesn't convince you. Thats the position the "new" atheists like Hitchens and Dawkins hold. Technically I'm an agnostic atheist meaning one who doesn't have belief in the supernatural as opposed to a gnostic atheist who knows that there is nothing supernatural (I've never met a gnostic atheist but there sure are gnostics on the theist side.

Actually the reasons humans do those things as opposed to animals is because of original sin. But you know, I was watching a national Geographic program about lion prides in this part of Africa and this big pride was waging war on all the other prides. First you say humans wage war because original sin then you try to justify it by an example from nature. So do lions also have original sin because they kill other lions which would mean that they have free will? It reminded me of a Time magazine article I read some years ago (google: The Wife Beaters of Kibale). It was discovered that some male chimpanzees were beating females. Not only that, they used sticks. It's weapon use in a non-human species! Since they wield the sticks very inefficiently, scientists believe they are using them for non-lethal punishment rather than killing.
His statements were so preposterous that I had to stamp on his head. It's not just about him though - it's a message to any of these ignorant fukkers and their strawman bullshit.

I had few subs at the time this was made - maybe 150 or so. Also it was votebotted about a year ago and that casued it to not appear in seaches as it reduced its rating.
And FromTheDarkStream closed his channel as a respoinse to this video, which was rather annoying.

Actually the reasons humans do those things as opposed to animals is because of original sin. But you know, I was watching a national Geographic program about lion prides in this part of Africa and this big pride was waging war on all the other prides. They kill the males and children then rape the women. Sounds familiar? Apparently this pride is so strong that there are now only 2 opposing prides left. They are being killed off mercilessly. Please comment on this.

First you say humans wage war because original sin then you try to justify it by an example from nature. So do lions also have original sin because they kill other lions which would mean that they have free will? Maybe the first lion ate of the forbidden antelope and thus had original sin upon him and his descendants? Or does it maybe reflect the fact that we are (both us and the lion) social animals?

I watched a great talk from a animal behaviourist who said "the leading cause of death among great apes were other great apes". This rings true within our own species as well and supports the idea of common ancestry.

However, I do slightly agree with gnamp here. Not only on apes, but this is also observed in lions. You know? the new Alpha lion that kills the cubs of the previous Alpha lion (perhaps even his brothers).
But that was not your point, and yes, I completely agree with your point. Lions and apes that attack within their pride or shrewdness have other reasons and, in both cases, they survived better in groups.

Thanks for the compliment. However, there are many Christians of FDS' ilk on youtube, possibly a dispropotionately large number. However, they make these kind of claims against non-blievers very often, the same tired old strawman arguments trotted out day after day, all of which have been conclusively refuted by folks more eloquent and knowledgeable than I.

Excellent video. Just one thing to add: you're comment at 00:58 about apes attacking thier mates isn't actually true. It reminded me of a Time magazine article I read some years ago (google: The Wife Beaters of Kibale). It was discovered that some male chimpanzees were beating females. Not only that, they used sticks. It's weapon use in a non-human species! Since they wield the sticks very inefficiently, scientists believe they are using them for non-lethal punishment rather than killing.
