I've been listening to metal since i was like 11 for a start.

LoG aren't considered Death Metal now so why would they be considered Death Metal in the 70's? Sabbath and Zeppelin are both metal now because they were tagged as metal in the 70's. But if LoG were there or someone as heavy then Sabbath and Zepp would never have been tagged as metal. There is a sub-genre for bands like Motorhead and Priest (which is called Old Skool).
