  • Stupid hat, stupid song....stupid video!

  • She absolutely had the performance of the night...What a powerhouse voice...

  • Ugh! I'm sorry...I've NEVER liked George Harrison's music or that thing he did with Krishna...trying to shove it down our throats. In my opinion, he abused the position of an ex-Beatle by being such a hypocrite. My god, the man lived in an obscene 120-room exotic mansion! Then, he SMOKED HIMSELF TO DEATH. So much for the "spiritual" Beatle!

  • @FrightwoIf

George quit smoking several decades ago. Anyway, spiritual does not equal perfect. Nobody's perfect.

  • @onlymikey - He stopped smoking only because he was

now sick. Of course nobody is perfect. However, you

wouldn't know that if you went to many Harrison videos

where his fans insist he's a bona-fide saint. His perspective

on life and the Beatles was strangely bitter and negative

lending hypocrisy to his otherwise "spiritual" posturing.

He falls from a lofty perch of his own making. Even his

documentary "Living In A Spiritual World" suggests

George did not LIVE what he PREACHED.

  • @onlymikey CORRECTION: His film is titled "Living In A Material World".

  • ANOUK AND ILSE < NETHERLANDS

  • I had never heard this woman before. I now have her CD's. She is one of the best female vocals that exist.

  • My only complaint, too short. Need more video of this amazing talent named Sam Brown. Please send me a note when ever this lady is playing live again.

  • Does anybody know why sing song is not on the cd :( ??

  • The whole song (slightly out of sync) has been posted by lovinstufflive. I think it's found under 'Horse To Water - concert for george'

  • i bet she was naked under that black coat..i would have taken her backstage and boned her from behind...

  • what's the name of that song?

  • I agree... Sam Brown is terrific!! I wish she'd come to New York. I'd bring enough people to fill the place...

  • un grandioso consert .claro degno pera uno de los mejores es un agasajo

  • Sam is an English girl, the daughter of Joe Brown who was a singer at the time of the Beatles emergence and has been "treading the boards" ever since. Sam had a hit with "Stop" and has been around a long time. This appearance proves she is fantastic!

  • who is she

  • When she smiles, my heart melts!!!

  • Check her out singing 'Kiss of Love' accompanied by Jools Holland and Dave Swift - different style of song, but it demonstrates some more of her range...

  • I totally agree with debiedog1. As good as the rest of the performances were Sam Brown took it up another noch! I love her performance.

  • Brilliant cover to a legendary song. I need to find the mp3 for this so bad!!!!!

  • @ debiedog She DID steal that show!

  • who is she

  • @MrVampiredog -- I had the same question, and some clicking later, found out her name is Sam Brown. Can someone recommend a recording by her?

  • @takewhatswrongand "STOP" was her big hit.

  • @MrVampiredog Joe Brown's daughter - and I just discovered him yesterday so that's 2 great finds in two days

  • WONDERFUL

  • who is she ?

  • Ugh! Video of a video on a TV. Sheesh! Maybe next time you can rub mayonnaise all over the lens while you're at it?

  • When she smiles, I just melt!!!!

  • She is fantastic,

  • Niech ktoś wrzuci cały kawałek!!! Jest świetny!!!

  • got a voice of a black woman.....a good thing

  • she s just flat out beautiful .. wow

  • This blew me away the first time I saw the DVD, and gives me chills on every subsequent viewing. Wow. There was a full video of this on here a few years ago, but it was taken down. She's awesome!

  • Beautiful rendition and beautiful lady

  • Sam's gorgeous. Great to watch.

Don't know if I'm wide of the mark here, but I thought it a bit of a poor show that Clapton introduced Sam, Jim Capaldi and Jools Holland off a sheet of paper.

  • shes amazing

  • There's NOTHING sexier!!!!!!!!!!

  • is this the same sam brown that sang on great gig and stop?

  • @1313elad

    Yes it is.

  • I agree that Sam Brown does really make this concert for George. I'm sure he loved it too, wherever he is in God's realm, as it is the highlight of this show, along with "I'll see you in my dreams".

  • we are not worthy!

  • Who is this chick, she is phenominal!

  • por que jodidos no lo subiste completo¿

  • asta el final brillante ,fue genial este concierto y tuve la suerte de estar ahi

  • one of my top ten

  • one of my top ten

  • She absolutely KILLED.

  • i think amy whinehouse should record and make this her cover!!!!!!

  • ..bellissima..Sam Brown....

  • Go BUY the dvd "Concert for George" and enjoy all the great music....Sam Brown really rocked.....

  • sam brown did the background vocals on pink floyd tours

  • When she smiles, I melt!!!!

  • I like the Browns: Sam and her dad Joe. She should have done a lot more than Stop! isn't she better than most of those boring singers that come from the X Factor and American Idol?

  • She stole the show with this song!!!!!

  • I totally agree!

  • @debiedog1 SO TRUE!

  • @debiedog1 - I agree 1000000%!!

  • Sam Brown Rocks!!!

  • So much talent on that stage, Eric Clapton, Albert Lee, Jeff Lynne, Andy Fairweather-Low, Jim Capaldi...

It might be worth searching myspace vids :-)

  • ...just rent the DVD! Well worth watching the whole thing!

  • Her hit single was "Stop!". An awesome, incredible and worthwhile performance.

Although I lived in Europe almost 20 years I

hadn't heard of her until I went to see a Jon Lord concert in Munich where he shared the bill with her. Jon Lord is great, she blew everyone away with each song. Why do we have to endure lip synchers when she is around????????

  • She had a solo hit I can not remember thet title at the moment. She also sang at Deep Purple with orchestra and Pink Floyd live.

You can not love her because I am in love with her since years,.

  • Sam Brown, first time I heard of her. I am in love

  • Man, I saw the tribute on a fund raiser for Public TV and I ordered the CD immediately after I heard this song & IT WASN'T ON THE DAMN CD! I was ready to ask for my money back! In my opinion Sam's was the BEST performance, although most were really good too. The full version was on You Tube & I couldn't get enough, but as fate would have it, it was removed.

  • fue la interpretacion mas chingona de todo el concierto... no sabia que era de el, me encanto

  • i fell in LOVE with her voice when i heard this song on the George Harrison tribute. i wish i could here more of her but i guess she's not as popular as i thought. too bad, this was my favorite song on the DVD

  • @legion4600

I felt the same way.. Sam Brown is a great talent and was, I thought was the best live performance of the show.

    e.gallojr

  • its a shame that she hasnt done a ton of songs using her voice in this manner

  • Oh Dios mio!!! Yo tenía este vídeo entero, lo perdí. Hay por ahí algún ángel que me lo pueda enviar o poner en You Tube? Thank you very much.

  • Why was this not the whole song..??

  • The original performance of this by Sam was very powerful, and she's extraordinary. This clip is a pretty poor facsimile of what was in the

Concert for George film. At one point, many of the original clips were on youtube. I guess this was taken down. I can't find Jeff Lynne and Anoushka Shankar doing "The Inner Light" either. I guess they need to sell DVDs

  • This song isnt on the soundtrack, I am so bummed. She is AMAZING.

  • I couldn't believe they didn't include this song too!

  • from noreshiwe thank you!

  • who is she?

  • she is sam brown

  • The issue with the audio is that this was video taped from a TV.

  • Sam Brown....amazing voice.

  • This is Sam Brown singing "Horse to Water" co-written by George Harrison and his son Dhani Harrison. Too bad this cut was left off the Concert CD.

  • I loved this song, who is this singing, what an amazing voice. What is this song called.

  • The song is called horse to the water. A very late george harrison track made a year or so before his death.

  • As much as I love Clapton, and I truly do, Sam Brown's rendering of this song was the high point for me! Great job! Is this rehearsal footage (looks like a different take than the DVD performance)?

  • u.u yo kero ser como ella.

  • why she is shouting like that?

    pourquoi elle crie comme ça?

There is energy but she is shouting...what a pity

  • That's not shouting...

It's some Powerful Blue Eyed Soul...

    (G) !

  • Sorry, but I thik she is great, and the pity here is your comment

  • It's only my opinion and i assume it. It could be so great with a black soul voice!!!

it's like "yesterday" from Mc cartney ( except 1976 version) and yesterday of Ray charles!!

  • I am sorry, I should not be rude in my comment. Respect your opinion, I only think Sam Brown has a skilled voice and few times you can hear that powerful singin, there is another video kind of dificult to find, in where she is in concert and sings the same piece, is simply great. Cheers!

  • THis is not shouting. Too bad you did not hear the entire song. She is incredible.

  • Comment removed

  • My previous response was actually to the first person who commented here who had asked, "why is she shouting?"
