Woweee, I agree, she is just great. I have another version of this on record by her, also absolutely great. I really think she has the definitive version of this song, it is amazing how much soul and spirit a female performer puts in this song, which is so often seen as a "male" song. It really hurts to hear her sing of having "one foot on the platform, the other foot on the train". Where is she now? She is sooooo good!
This, along with "Home of the Brave", is my favorite song by Jody. There's just no equal to her vocal range or style! She sure deserved more recognition than she received from Nashville back then, and today! One classy lady. I've gotten to see her perform on stage twice and both times were a treat!

I first heard of Jody when we lived next door to her sister Shirley in Alameda way back when. I've been a fan ever since !!!
