Yes...i remembered how at one point each episode was costing about million clams. but that was when they were still getting the advertisers. but my personal turning point(jump the shark') moment will always be when those assholes blew up the daytona spyder 365....WOW
What killed Miami Vice? The removal of the pastel colors, the blowing up of the black ferrari and the firing of music composer Jan Hammer....any1? any1? any1?
@SexualPhelps69...no no no. i strongly diagree. vice had atleast another 2 or 3 good seasons left if the would have not commited the three big sins.....colors, music and style. i mean tubbs growing the beard! come on! the fans loved the smooth faced ricardo. hell, they got rid of neville noogy lamont; killed Zito...oh well...it was a slow kill atleast....but i'm currently checking out Southland, Chicago Code, Detroit 1-8-7, Justified...they are pretty good and gritty cop show also
@GeorgeJansen some point to cost over runs. the budget on the show had reached movie level proportions. Secondly, don johnson and edward james olmost were fighting it out as to who was going to get more camera time. When don johnson directred certain episodes, they were good, but he was a task master and that angered alot of people around him. and don was begging for less pastel colros and 80's outfits. He wore jeans all the time. it got to a point where everyong just hated the long hours
Jan Hammer made the whole show with his sultry modern synthetic jazz, he's a genius and one of a kind.

I got hooked on NY Undercover in the 90s. As for now it's been The Shield, Justified is a great show. I just started watching Southland.

@GeorgeJansen it was an 80's show that was nearing the 90's. It had a hell of a run. Best cop show ever.
