I still build model cars, and I have a couple of versions of this one. If you put a search in Google of the Silhouette and hit Images, there's some great shots of this car.
This car really should be cloned -I also heard it was sitting in someone's living room --someone knows something about where it is -- --Hey Rod & kustom Guy's clone this car --also let's not forget the "Uncertain T----
We are all glad this car was found and re done, hell those 60's custom guys were on more than fibreglass dust to think some of these designs up, great stuff
The car was stolen off the transport truck years ago. Some say it was done for insurance money. Who knows. I think one of the wizz kid show rod builders today should do a clone, like Roth's Mysterion. Heck the Lil Coffin's back, why not the Silhouette
The clip is from the 1967 television special, The Wonderful World Of Wheels. It runs 60 minutes, and there's also some shots of show cars from that period. You can buy the DVD on line, from the Peterson Museum, or try EBAY. They have them also.
