This is the type of video I want to see when I type "E39 M5 Exhaust Sound" into the search bar. Eisenmann or Hayward & Scott are the best sounding exhausts for M5's, I think.
@Shintsu2 I just used a Hero GoPro HD Motorsports camera, it comes with all sorts of mounts. For this, I used the suction cup mount, which is just fantastic. I've used that mount on the track many times at speeds of over 220km/h without problems.
@jrobbom5 Cool, thanks for letting me know - looks like they can do some pretty great quality videos with great sound too (the important part for stuff like this!). On that suction cup mount - does it have a standard threading on it that would work with any other normal camera? Their site doesn't show close-ups but I'd love to buy that mount if I can make it work with my camera.
@Shintsu2 The mount that comes with the Hero Go Pro is made for that camera, I think it would be difficult to adapt it to another camera, but suction mounts with standard fittings are readily available, I would try a few camera stores, I'm sure they will have something suitable. Good Luck!
@jrobbom5 Ah okay - I have found some similarly styled suction cup mounts, but I would have never thought of using those like this. Didn't know they'd work this well! Thanks again, btw your M5 is badass...sounds so good, I like the E39 M5 in many ways more than the E60 M5 even though the E60 is faster.
Sounds good, but you should hear my Kelleners Exhaust.

I'm curious - how did you mount the camera? These kinds of videos are so cool, but I'm wondering how everyone is mounting their cameras.
