Are you kidding? Qantas pay is crap. I was working with them for 4 months based in Auckland and the moneys nothing compared to other airlines. The asian carriers are great and the perks are much better! CX etc..

QF created JQ to compete with DJ. Qantas is a full service international flag carrier not low cost/budget like the other two. Qantas crew are probably also one of the hightest if not the highest paid cabin crew in the world. Airlines such as the asian carriers, they pay their crew peanuts, hence more of them on board because they earn a quarter of what QF crew do. As for Emirates/Etihad, they are owned by the royal families who also run the country=endless money & not answerable to shareholders.

I fly Qantas all the time as a guest, their good but not great!

For domestic their better than Jetstar, Virginblue, Tiger or Rex, however on their longhaul services they don't even come close to Etihad Airways or Emirates Airlines, not to mention lower rated carriers such as China Airlines or Vietnam Airlines. That is for cabin service mostly. Qantas's ontime performance is pretty good though.

This is very surprising as we usually get the best feedback from passengers..Maybe it's because the crew i work with are all so down to earth and love a nice chat, then again i work internationally and the service is totally different, as we work longer hours and may suffer from jet lag. But our service must always remain strong!
