It is a glitch. When you check swing at a ball that the batter would have dodged realistically, the next pitch he will try dodging no matter where it is

no when u create a player u can give the pitcher whatever pitch you want so the probobly have a curveball or seomthing and started it at the batter the it moved and we only see the close up veiw so u don't see the rest of the pitch

This glitch occurs when you check swing at the previous pitch, and the previous pitch has to be inside enough that you would have dodged it, since you check swing at the pitch and computer delays you jumping out of the way til the next pitch...

It would rock if you could have the manager argue calls with the ump. You could do that in MVP Baseball from EA Sports for the MLB, but they got rid of the games and I got this for the past 3 years I'm not saying MLB 08 The Show is bad, but EA's MVP for the MLB was better.

Exactly. If you try to swing at the previous pitch that is close to hitting you, the batter will duck or "cower" at the next pitch.
