It's good to see that Microsoft has almost sorted out the touchFlo scrolling thing. But who are they trying to copy? It's good to see that they are implementing landscape/portrait displays. It's great to see a real web browser at last, despite developing them for almost 20 years. There must be a better solution out there. I'm not sure what it is, but there must be something less fussy, less clunky, less 1990's.
We all need to get real and find the simplest solution. We shouldn't have to worry about having to manually close apps. We shouldn't have to worry about having the need to edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint, whilst on the bus, or walking down the street. The Windows Mobile philosohy is rather strange. There has to be (must be) a simpler solution out there. Somewhere. But I'm not sure what.
Why would you want a spare/interchangable battery for a phone? Surely it's better to get a phone with good battery life. I still don't know anyone who has the need for multiple SD cards, at 16 or 32gb a piece. How many videos do you really need in the palm of your hand? How many thousands of songs do you really need in your pocket, when on average, you'll only listen to 10% of that quantity, in different orders, playlists, etc?
I find it hard to beleive that the Windows mobile software is still very much the same as it has been for many years. 6.5 now has a new skin, which I guess simply covers the cracks. The software is soooo clunky and OTT. Why would you need so many settings, options, sub-settings, menus, sub-menus, etc, on a handheld device? In life, things should be easy and simple. You shouldn't need a masters degree to operate a phone.
Iphone sucks! has who wants a mobile phone which battery is welded in? can't swap battery also scary travel with Iphone if battery dies out haha... Also can't expand storage has it does not have external microsd storage card slot. Also Iphone can't open many apps at once. So yes Windows Mobile wins again again again. LOL
uhm, jailbroke, an iphone can open as many apps as you have. a 32gb iphone is better then any windows mobile phone can go to because you cant have a 32gb microsd card. the battery is pretty gay though on the iphone, but apple wanted to go for a sleeker unibody look

What the hell has microsoft been doing this is 6.1 with a skin on top SPB Mobile Shell has a much better skin & took 1/3 less time to produce the calendar, keyboard, messaging are the same apart from scrolling, god microsoft are rubbish I was so looking forward to getting 6.5.

And MS, unlike the apple-mafia, doesn't tell me what I can and can't run :P
WM is way more flexible and advanced, didn't apple just add copy/paste functions this year?
WM65 is pretty good, but if you want eyecandy out of the box, go for the iPhone.
If you don't mind adding eyecandy afterwards, like higher resolutions and more flexibility/freedom,
go for a Win-phone.

The menus are more finger friendly. all in all it's better than 6.1, but nothing revolutionary. Wait for WM7
