  • This was eally cheesy but if you guys are around for PS2, I'd really like to play with people who actually care about teamwork

  • Kool video helps to know there are some groups for PS2 that have likewise military backgrounds etc.. You need coordination in big games like these. This video helps my decision making on which faction to play on PS2

  • @Mirr0rDT No, this was filmed on Emerald. The firing line stuff was done in VR, and the overwatch part in TR Sanctuary. The rest of it was live on emerald.

  • so this was filmed on the test server wasnt it?

  • Used to be in BWC, always enjoyed the military mindset. Hope to see you guys in PS2

  • @silentghoust The concept behind the fire teams is that one team provides overwatch, IE: one team cover for the other team that is moving. If a tank shows up, both teams should be close enough to be able to engage, and one team will have cover and/or concealment. Worst case the moving team gets owned and the second team goes in to rez. Of course that is in theory and with capable leaders and members. Normally we would execute parallel movement of the two teams when there is cover available)

  • Agree that the firing line theater was a bit overboard. However the biggest disagreement is the fire teams. Planet side is to fast pace for complex maneuvers. A tank can easily stumble upon a fire team and demolish them before anybody could respond. Compared to if you moved as a group and had enough firepower to destroy the tank before it could do any real damage.

  • LEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYY JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKNINSSSSSSSSSS

  • lol, @ the firing range. Sounds like they are copying the tower in the Army fire lanes.

  • @zerga303 The firing line is an exercise of fire concentration and teamwork. We normally set up an ATV, buggy, and whatever else and use it to show the new members how our left-to-right fire concentration will be able to take down enemy units rapidly. We also like to add elements from real life training where possible.

  • lol nice

but the whole firing line thing...

do you think your treating it more like life and not a game? im not criticizing, what ev works for you guys is cool

  • We will be doing more of the same in PS2. Check us out on our forums: the-bwc.com

  • Man I would resub my planetside account just to get down on this.

  • @halfaddict Sign up at the BWC website then. the-bwc dot com

  • @JuggernautBWC So you guys still do this then? I always wanted to do well at this game, I spent most of my time alone looking for a fight. I want to stand in a line and gun some fools down.

  • @halfaddict We will be doing it in Planetside 2. Most of us have unsubbed Planetside again. A lot of us are playing SWTOR and practicing for PS2 by playing BF3.

  • @JuggernautBWC I finally got BF3 and a new headset.

  • @halfaddict: I see you've applied, so I'll see you on the forums! Welcome to BWC!

@silentghoust: the firing line voice-over was deliberately campy, an intentional nod to our military background. The firing line exercise is something we use during a Basic Training exercise to get people into the habit of firing from the left and working their way across the field. Fire teams, on the other hand, work. Period. Splitting your forces means a tank has to choose its target. Only one team takes fire.

  • @JuggernautBWC Also I signed up on the forum, will fill out app prob tuesday when i have some money to resub and get a new headset.. ready to merc some fools

  • If they played on Emerald between 2003-2008 I am sure we have. I don't recall anything in particular, though.

  • @BrokenSp00n: Yes, some people still play. The populations are certainly much lower now, though.

  • Do people still play?

  • heroes*

  • will have to give credit to yall i have gotten owned by you guys before. but even tho we work along the same " geek/mil type precision" we were NOT prepared. and liek this. we got OWNED. but not from ground level. well partially, yall came in from ground, and some others came in from roof area

  • Our leading members had military experience, with a subset of them having combat experience.

  • @TheSniperSteve that helps ALOT in this game. ive got some LEO experience. and play wiht some with MIL experience. the two combined clears ALOT fo confusion, and minimises friendly fire. ALOT

  • Really loving the organisation you guys displayed here. Planetside 2 is coming... ^^

  • Have to agree. You guys have gained a new Nerd level. But I say that with the best of intentions :P

Teamwork like that hypes me up. Will BWC be playing PS2? Toss me a PM if so.

  • I remember being in BWC years ago. Was a great group of people. I really miss this game, thinking about comin back but last time I did I was getting owned by flying invincible hacking MAX suits

  • Fuck this was fucking amazing

  • BWC represent

  • geek lvl 99

  • @aka3lfLo it helps wiht the mil speak. and phonetic alphabets. anyone playing planetside will know what "tango uniform " means.

  • @aka3lfLo Much of the ppl in this are military veterans. Go call a veteran a geek, youll get your ass kicked.

  • @aka3lfLo Refering to Runescape. Geek level doubled.
