  • This song is used as a resume intro for radio personality Jimmy Church.

Isn't that voice the announcer from WMAC Masters?

  • I think that those who like Queensryche, also like Fates Warning and Dream Theatre too. Very good pregressive metal bands.

  • @celticattack Don't forget about Crimson Glory. Heavily influenced by Queensrÿche and their early power/progressive metal style that was the beginning of power metal in 1983 when they released their EP and some took notes in Vancouver such as Jag Panzer and Griffin who started out as heavy metal bands. When they played in NYC for the very first time it was a success and power metal really exploded there when more bands were interested.. Fates Warning, Hittman, Virgin Steele, Liege Lord, etc.

  • @cavecandle31

Absoluteley, Geoff Tate was about 24 years old - i believe - when he wrote the songs of Operation Mindcrime. They are very strong in music and strong in Society-Vision.

And ObtKG4 ....right a thinking mansband, like Rush !

  • I love the SciFi themes that Queensryche had in their early material.

Always makes me think of Blakes 7 converted into heavy metal music :-)

  • One thing about QR I always loved....their 'think-outside-the-box' approach to writing lyrics....songs like this just weren't written back then in quite this way!!

  • @cavecandle31 "I used to think

That only America's way, way was right

But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives

Gotta make a million doesn't matter who dies"

    nailed it there for sure

  • wow i have listened to them all of my life and they always have the same effect on me i love them and always will think their music is one of the best ever in the entire world forever along with type o negative, such a truth to everything and mystical powers in every song to help heal awaken the spirit to its senses again so it seeks knowledge to wake up to the government and the control the reptilian shapeshifters in the government have and the new world order takeover plan wake up people ....,

  • Warning, Rage for Order, and MindCrime rule the realm of Progressivia!!!

  • @cavecandle31

    Dont forget Empire.

  • Fuck yeah!! I was there...Hollywood Palladium '85 w/ King Kobra & Leatherwolf.

  • 2nd favorite song...Its one of a kind!

  • Awesome fuckn song!

  • My hands shake, my push button silents the outside crowd. Now, social control requires, population TERMINATION.. We've come to far to turn around.

  • simply fucking epic !! Can someone name my a band wich all album could be listen from start to finish without using the skip button

  • @karpet11

    Brocas Helm

  • this album gave birth to us power metal,,followed by crimson glory, heirapparent, lethal, vicious rumors and others.

  • I love the 2 guitars solo.

  • this album created the us power metal scene, followed by many great bands such as crimson glory, heirapparent, lethal..too bad they lost their inspiration after promised land( their last GREAT album in my opinion).

  • fuck a lot of good memorys of my youth and no not dated right on time

  • My (mis)Guided youth displayed in all of it's glory...

    Get some Bitches!...

  • @cavecandle31 haha i know man its nuts! these were so ahead of their time, I love this band

  • My favorite song by them.

  • One of there best songs that never got its due, just call Geoff "The voice"

  • so nice to see, others appreciate these songs besides silent lucidity

  • compute this data...

  • AWESOME!!!

  • This was such a great tune its day. Still solid but kind of dated. Why don't you guard it? Great voice,,,

  • @theos111 aw man shutup with that 'dated' crap. Dated stuff is better than almost everything current anyway so screw you

  • this is some f***ing metal!

  • Solo rips! The driving force of the the drums and bass make it extra cool!

  • This album is a true masterpiece. Some serious songwriting and musicianship.

  • wicked fun

  • THIS KICK REAL BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • Timeless....classic !!

  • what vocals best queensryche song i should say the warning album is the best ryche album ever

  • I love this song...and its 10 times better live!

  • I loved this song.

  • @boohowdy I still do!!

  • absoulutely fantastic, way ahead of their time...

  • This album was based on the book by George Orwell called 1980.

  • @jimmynjillable Lol... You mean 1984?

Kind of strange that I just saw that movie today... Wasnt that good... well for all that fuckin hype

  • @supmayne1 you should take the audio book out from the library its a great way to enjoy the book. I have not seen the movie but I bet the book is better, it is a sad and frightening story. I suppose it could be a story of how to domesticate or kill the human spirit. good book, Awesome RYCHE

  • @Vinvilland Audio books are way more fucking boring... I would rather read it myself.

  • (((_{-_-}_))) this song always stood the tests of time, thank you!

  • Wicked freakin lyrics!!!!

  • I always think of Tron when I hear this cool song.

  • WHAT A VOICE!!!

  • Classic album...Great song too~~~Perhaps their best!!!!

  • Just starting to give this album a good listen, this song is kicking my ass.

  • This song has always reminded me of movies like Terminator, I Robot, Eagle Eye, and the Matrix. Heck, in modern day computers AI "ghosts" exist due to fragmentation of code that recompiles itself randomly at first then over time becomes more organized into consciousness. It's happened with calculators for crying out loud! The more complex the programing and coding the more likely for a "Ghost in the Machine" to take shape.

  • Awesome song with great lyricxs. Am I the only one who thinks Geoff tries to imitate a Dalek in the beginning of the song?

  • Very prophetic for the time! "Social control requires population termination." Poisoned water supplies, chemtrails poisoning the air we breathe, vaccinations, H1N1, etc. It's coming true for all of us!

  • @TSOrocker1 Quit drinking the cool-aid man. The point of Queensryche is to think for yourself and not to get caught up in ridiculous conspiracy theories and small minded logic. It's fear ultimately that will be used to control you, as is always done in the past, and it sounds like you have a lot of it.

  • one world gov? population termination? did geoff tate see this liberal madness ahread of its time! obamaS science czar John holdren wants to put sterilants in drinking water for population control, Obama and his radical freinds re all socilaist one world gov freaks! george soros is too and he keeps funding the left!

  • @TheHabit00 Wow, sounds like someone has been spending too much time up on Ruby Ridge hiding from reality. Sterilants in the water supply? One world government freaks? You think W Bush was any better? Come up for air and educate yourself a bit before sending your rants out into cyberspace. You won't look so foolish.

  • Probably my favorite song on the album. Brilliant in every way.

  • Absolutely Brilliant for it's time

  • @cavecandle31

    Brilliant for any time.

  • WE'VE COME TOO FAR TO TURN ARRRROOOOUUUUUUND!!!!!!!!!

  • @silentfox13

We have gone to far to turn around. Free thinking not allowed.

    Emotion holds the Key.

  • end of line...end of line....end of line

  • now social control requires population termination ! Prophetic?

  • According to the band, The tracklist is wrong. This tracklist, that appears in all The Warning albums, is the result of a request made by mix engineer Val Garay to EMI. The tracklist that the band wanted is: 1. NM 156 2. En Force 3. Deliverance 4. No Sanctuary 5. Take Hold of the Flame 6. Before the Storm 7. Child of Fire 8. Warning 9. Roads to Madness
  • I live at 561, the numer in any sequence is the same, i see the number everywhere

  • I live at 561, the numer in any sequence is the same

  • I am number 156

  • machines have no conscience!

  • topper!

  • Without question one of the most underrated bands yet.

Was lucky enought to see them 6 times live.

A real thinking man's band, like Rush

  • @ObltKG4 you saw them 6 times !! i hate you ;)....lucky bastard

  • @karpet11 It was the Operation Mindcrime with Metallica 5 times in NY and Michigan and once in TO. Tate rocked in late eighties!

  • @ObltKG4 i high fived geoff tate from the front row. my claim to fame!

  • Fuck people that don't like Queensryche and good Metal Music.

  • Punch punch punch!

  • i love when he goes "PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH"....real 80s interperetation of the future

  • great song to trip to ...hell great album to trip to

  • This song used to twist my mind on how different it was. Gawd it was so damn unique and brilliant. I love the part after the verses and they just start kickin ass. the drumming in queensryche always got me going. Genius

  • I think the very first sounds are blood droplets. Does anyone agree?

  • @nosajj12345 Keyboard punch....... as in computer... social control requires population termination! Futuristic

  • @nosajj12345

    No, it's a keyboard.

  • this whole album rocks balls!!!!! machines have no conscious

  • PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH. Best part.

  • amazing song!!!! the ryche never dies!!!!

  • Every time I see this title I think it stands for road 156 in New Mexico.

New Mexico LOVES the Ryche, that's for sure! Ryche On!

  • Great scream at around 1:10! \\m//

  • Diehard Ryche fan, pretty sure they based this on Skynet from "The Terminator" that was released the previous summer

  • @wikkedmelodies

I think you're wrong bro; this album has been around for a LONG time.....unless I misunderstood your statement?

  • This song and Screaming in Digital from Rage For Order... I, Robot of metal.

  • This was when I still liked this band. I didn't care for their top twenty Silent Lucidity crap, but I guess they figured it was a good way to sell records and concert tickets. Thanks for uploading.

  • I want a Warning Tarot deck.

  • lol, I always hear the lyrics wrong in this awesome song, "is logic just a cinnamon roll''

  • grooloops, too funny, I can actually see the reasoning behind your lyrics. Something's wrong with me. RYCHE ON!

  • @grooloops Haha nice! I hear that too!

  • Put some strong headphones on and turn the volume up.

    The lyrics are fucking amazing.

  • its called ' the warning' their second album

  • Its their 1st album. Before this was the EP.

  • this has always been my favorite song they ever came out with, way back in the day

  • Great song and great lyrics......Ryches Rule!!!

  • their old ones are kind of freaky.
