Oh thank you so, so much. I have had painful wrists and hands for months and although my pain does not go these exercises give me great relief so big HUG for posting.
Thanks for the post and I'm glad they are helping! The fact that you and others like yourself obtain relief from the stretches and exercises is the reason I make these videos. So many people are told nonsense and are given no hope for relief from their pain and dysfunction and I want to let them know that relief is possible. Thanks again for the support!
I am 25 and I have used so much the computer and I don't know good excercises for this bad.. do you take any medication besides the excercises? I don't understand how to calm the pain because it hurts me and I feel my hand something.. I know I am not talking about your video but also hurt me my back.. sorry but I think you can help because you suffer of that
For most instances in which muscle imbalance is the root cause of carpal tunnel syndrome, I just utilize the stretches and exercises. Other modalities such as massage etc., can b e added in conjunction with the stretches and exercises. Be sure that you obtain a diagnosis of your condition so that you know exactly what you are treating.
The type of work you do can really do a number on your hands. I suggest looking up EnableMart, BannerTherapy, PainReliever or the manufacturer at Repetitive-Strain, as they seem to be the best ones to do business with! Good luck with your hands and feel free to PM me if you have additional questions.
Make sure that you ease into the stretches slowly and do not be forceful. If a particular stretch is highly uncomfortable, don't do it and find an alternative one. Good luck!
im experiencing atrophy in my thumb/palm region. by doing these exercises ... will i start to regain that healthy puffyness that part of the hand has or muscle? or do i have to begin using a very small dumbell? oh and!!, where can i get that hand device? cost? thank you very much... i cant afford therapy/treatment for my cts, so this is very helpful. i truly appreciate it and the stretches have relieved most of the pain. :]
Once the median nerve is no longer impinged, the muscle will again return to normal. (At least in most cases) The Flextend exercise system is available online. Do a Google search. Cost depends on where you get it. Thank you for your comments. if you need additional assistance, PM me. Thanks!
@URehab so with atrophy now, there is hope to regain that muscle being lost right? ahh thats a big relief. i thought my thumbs were gonna fall off. lol jk. thank you~
Yes, there is hope of gaining it back. I've seen happen in a lot of cases, but you just have to do the right exercises to eliminate the nerve impingement and restore normal balance of the muscles. There is nothing wrong with taking the full spectrum of B vitamins either, as they all have an effect on the nerves, from pain relief, calming and recovery.
is it ok if we feel them like grinding i have carpal tunnel i went i am pretty scared because i am a body builder u were right i have carpal tunnel i went to the docter amazin how u can diagnose through compputer i had it for a round 3 weeks will it every go away n can i work out with it?
Follow the Carpal Tunnel Exercise routine I've posted here on youtube. Use the exercise device that you see me using in the video and you'll be good in about 4-weeks. Good luck!
@URehab Thank you so much! I've been doing this for a few days now and my left thumb is feeling the best it has in months (that's including taking ibuprofen to reduce the pain).
Great! Being consistent with the stretches and exercises is very helpful in reducing the negative effects of Repetitive Strain Injuries that result from muscle imbalancess, so keep it up!
Hi two months ago i thought i heard my right hand working out..my wrist hurt so bad to the point that huts even to shave...a month later my left wrist is hurting just as bad, is that carpal tunnel? the wrist bone on my left hand hurt daily and during sleep, i cant do push up or anything. i did go to emergency and took x-ray and they say i have nothing broken..what else can this be..? i am in the pc a lot my only use my right hand.
If the pain is in the back of the hand/wrist when doing a push-up, it is most likely a Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) to the wrist joint and would need to be corrected with extension. (The muscles/ tendons are often so long and weak that they do not shorten up and move when the wrist is extended.) With Carpal Tunnel, you would experience numbness, tingling, paresthesia (pins and needles) in the thumb, index, middle and sometimes one-half of the ring finger. E-mail me to discuss.
Nerve damage is caused by long-term impingement by surrounding muscles. I can take supplements all day long, but until the muscles that are compressing the nerve are released, the nutrients will not do a thing. Flextend utilizes a technique known as Reciprocal Inhibition. When one muscle group is contracted, the opposing group must relax, thus release the impingement of underlying nerves and soft tissues, while at the same time correcting the problem at the root source.
I get an odd sensation in my knuckles and along my palm. It's not really a pain as much as it is an annoyance. Just wondering if you know of anything that might be. Thanks.
@URehab I am 14 years old and i have pain on the top of my wrist around an inch behind the middle finger knuckle and pushing this against the wall a lot creates pain. I get nearly no numbness. is this carpal tunnel? will this go away?
It could be any number of things such as a muscle imbalance, tight fascia...or something more serious. It is wise to consult a physician and receive a diagnosis as to avoid the potential damaging effects of disease, etc. If it is a situation involving the muscles, then look into conservative therapy before utilizing invasive treatment measures.
Send me a private email via youtube and explain a little more about it so I can address your injury appropriately. If you need to, write the comment in your language and use an online language converter so I can understand more about what is going on.
" but without resistance in finger extension / abduction and wrist / elbow extension, the outcome will be rather limited!
I don't understand! I have seriously screwed my wrists up! How do I achieve resistance? Are there any videos up here of these type of stretches/exercises?
Performing this motion is better than doing nothing, but without resistance in finger extension / abduction and wrist / elbow extension, the outcome will be rather limited. Grasping objects day in and day out causes the flexor muscles to be subjected to thousands of pounds of resistance. Unless the extensor / abductor muscles are strengthened as well, the imbalance between the muscle groups that open and close the hands becomes greater and greater. (And of course the symptoms do so as well!)
thank you soooo much for all of your videos!! i don't have that glove but i was doing the same motion that you were doing , just without the glove. will that work?!?

Methyl-B12,
benfotiamine
These in combination with Active Release Therapy gave me INSTANT relief.
what this guy is talking about kinda makes sense.
But it DOES NOTHING for healing nerves and REALLY breaking up scar tissue in forearm and palm
However, you are very convincing
