  • Nala's Chinese voice is truly beautiful

  • 其實那句唱的是"享受這平靜"XD

    中文的諧音實在太多了......

  • Who is Nala singing voice in mandarin ?

  • This song.♥

  • This sounds just as good as French!

  • This is nice, but I don't think anything will ever beat the German version.

  • anyone got the lyrics?

  • This version was really awesome!!!! It was sung by 林美滿(Taiwanese) in female voice. However it was mandarin Chinese version.

  • Nala's sound is so beautiful!! Love it!!!

  • I have a different version, at least of Pumbaa where he sounds more taiwanese. Are there 2 versions of the mandarin?

  • @BUSHAMEN

    其实这也没什么,我记得最早接触阴茎一词是在初中,从一幅兔子解剖图上

  • cool and nice singing.

The meaning, somehow, differs from the English version.

but that's hard to avoid in lyrics translations, though.

  • Get Chinese Pinyin book from mypinyin dot com

  • This has just made me want to learn mandarin. Definitely the best version of all.

  • In my World History Class we have to do a report on an Asian country. I first wanted Japan but my friends chose it. So I chose China.

I've never really known all that much about the language, and only a little bit about the culture.

I listened to this, and now I actually want to learn the language <3 I've never known how BEAUTIFUL Mandarin Chinese sounded <3333 I'm glad I chose China :)

  • i love being bilingual (:

i prefer this version over the english version

  • I love their singing. It's soft and pretty.

  • Anyone know where I can get pinyin lyrics for this? Be awesome to sing along.

  • I love this song *_*

  • This is gorgeous and now one of my favourite versions.

  • ah... i like the 中文 version。

  • I agree that the Cantonese one sounds better! Though this is lovely as well. :) (Plus, I speak Cantonese, so I may be a bit biased!)

  • I watched it in mandarin and it was awesome. Best version, probably:)

  • Most beautiful version I have ever heard of this song :) I'm studying Chinese right now and will be going in a year for a whole school year. Maybe when I get back and finish studying the language, I'll be able to sing along ;D

  • i luv this part the most. ^^ 0:21 i luv how the guy who is singing this and his voice just sounds sooo like he is into it! LUUVV! ^^

  • I'm French and love the French version (well, also others languages versionà but the mandarin version really, really is beautiful... o_o Love the voices... it's wonderful...!

  • Listen to the french version ! It's so cute too :DD

  • Nevermind, i found it haha

  • Anyone know where i can find the english translation of the mandarin lyrics? I am interested in knowing exactly the differences that people are talking about.

  • lol at ):04 he says boobie

  • @Neytiri4Thanator4 ?? boobie? he said he wants to say he loves her,but don't know how to say. he just keep this in mind that she is the one he love the most.

  • The voice of Simba and Timan is the same person! He changed voice even insinging! How great!!

  • @1214charlene1 what's his name? i really like his voice XD

  • @carmelizedpunk His name is Leo Y. Lee, in chinese, 李勇. He is my friend, and we're in the same church service team. He is now a director of several drama in the church service.

  • @1214charlene1 that is really cool!

  • sima's and nala's voice is sooo nice!!! so soothing!

  • Ugh they changed the lyrics so Nala is begging Simba to say he loves her... :(

  • @6684lillian Yeah, this is so strange... Mandarin is the first language that I saw a big change in the lyrics (of this song)...

  • @6684lillian mm..It's not really begging, just tell him don't be afraid to said.

  • I like the voice that sings the main part of the song in mandarin better than the English one

  • I listened to the cantonese but I like the Mandarin better( I think it flows better than the Cantonese). I think that is because I'm learning it.

  • 很好聽!

  • This is my best version!!!

  • I understand Pumba! I'm learning Mandarin! I disagree with ALL of you it is beautiful! I still like the english.

To my knowledge there are no tenses. the worst is shi(is) it is ,is, yes, are and it can be combined withother charaters to make words like but and so.

    我叫庞平路! 我是美国人可是我喜欢中国!

  • lol. I never really think about the tenses.

yeah, you are right but I think Japanese grammer are worse, given that its verbs are locate at the last of the sentence, which makes no sense to me.

have you listened to the Cantonese version? tell me how different it is from Mandarin, cuz as a native speaker of Cantonese I can't really tell whether it sounds good or not.

  • Agreed

  • cool

if i compare to the other versions, i'd give 6,5/10 (10 being the best)

long live chinese people in france

  • It's there a place where I can download this???

  • english still for the win

  • r4ndi4r you said that english has the most complexe grammar in the word but if you some day learn franch or latin you will see that there are languages with a complexer grammar than english

  • I think this version is softer and Nana's part is better than its origin....

  • 哈哈 ^__^ aaawwe... 他们在哭。。。

  • no its just funnier

  • this versiom better than cantonese!!!!

  • i think its awesome that ur collecting japanese vids.i luv japanese.=]ADD ME.=]

  • This is mandarin.

  • thats so nice =]

  • ah sooo cute ^^

  • TANG YOU WANG I CHING TI TANG <3

    xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

    Ich find's so geil hahahhahahahahhaha

  • This the best version ever!..it's even better than the swedish version!!!<3I really love the sound of the refrain...it's so beautiful!

  • This version is beautuful!!!

  • Instead of

    "he's holding back, he's hinding,

    But what, I can't decide.....

it's "Don't be afraid to say you love me... from looking into your eyes I can tell

    you love me.

    WEIRD

    but lovely

  • That's cos English and Mandarin are like the total opposite. Mandarin has the simplest grammar in the world, English has the most complex. Mandarin short sentences are really long in English.

Apparently theres a 2-syllable mandarin phrase that is 11 syllables in English

  • yes, but how do you say "UAV" in mandarin? they never abbreviate anything, which is flaw with government regulate languages. You speak Mandarin? The syntax is very similar english, more simple yes, but they do not have any thing like spanish with the switched noun/adj position.

  • really? what is it?

  • :D english grammar ist not complex.... you should study polish. :D ^^

:D I heard in mandarin u dont us tenses like past or future ? is that true ?

  • no tenses, no genders, very few connectives.

  • Heh, heh, I can understand them.

    Wow it's different

  • i realise the significance of nala's and simba's verse is different from the english original. in the englisg version, simba is hiding his past from her, and nala sees the king in him while in the chinese version, it's all about romance am i right?

  • oh, it wasnt me...

  • I just said it was beautiful, why do i get 6 thumbs down?

  • Ass!

  • SO BEAUTIFULL! <3

  • i love this so much more than the original vers. the voices are so light and airy, so its very beautiful.i wish i knew mandarin so i could sing along with it.

  • 这是我听过最好的版本!!

  • I love this version better than the english

  • 有人貼中文

    太屌啦~

  • nala's voice is soooo dreamy in the mandarin version! I wish i could sing like that

  • Lol so danm cool... It sounds so funny in all these different languages... And I agree, the Nala voice sound very good...

  • Best version of all languages :)

  • *-* i love Nala's voice in mandarin,so beautiful

  • modern Taiwanese also uses a lot of japanese words but anyways i love the mandarin version of this song; so soft and nice.

  • coolie

  • This song is sung in Mandarin Chinese.

The official language of Taiwan is Mandarin Chinese and is spoken by a large majority of the population.

Taiwanese as a language does exist, and the confusion lies in the fact that Taiwanese and Mandarin are for the most part mutually intelligible.

  • Isn't Taiwanese the language of the indigenous people of Taiwan?

  • The indigenous people of Taiwan are pacific islanders who spoke language similar to Malasian. Then Chinese immigrants from the adjacent province on mainland came and pushed the indigenous people into the mountain. This immigrants brought with them their dialect from fujian province which Taiwan people now call taiwanese.

  • I thought that the language of the indigenous people is called "Taiwanese", and that the language of the Chinese migrants is just referred to as "Mandarin".

  • To put it simply, yes. =)

  • IMO that depends on how you define "indigenous".

  • Taiwanese this language is actually from the dialect of the province Fujian

  • Yes it is. :)

    (one of them, at least)

  • its not? well i feel like a jackass

  • O_O taiwanese IS a language O_O

taiwanese people speak both mandarine and taiwanese and also another ka jia yu or somehing

i speak taiwanese O_O and mandarine

  • I suppose the Chinese lyrics still fit the context and whatnot, but it is different indeed.

  • it doest sound like Mandarin..it sound like Taiwanese

  • Do you even SPEAK mandarin?

  • the translation is completely different

  • they are voiced by taiwanese!

  • Skypucca, sooo you're saying that the official language of China (Mandarin) is not a Chinese language? lol You need a history lesson and learn the definition of a dialect.

  • haha, funniest bs i've heard in a long time

  • NONSENSE..u fuckin idiot..

  • Does anyone know who is singing the female and male parts in this song?

  • I love Nala's and Simba's singing voices.

  • the chinese version lyrics are beautiful.

and seriously, I think this song in chinese is really awesome !!!

  • 5 stars for sure ! Good song & good language

  • this song is beautiful in chinese! :D

  • The Chinese girl has such a heavenly voice...

  • i think you'd better to know more about the nearest Chinese history and Chinese Language. Mandarin is mean "Manchurian" just starting to be official language from Ching Dynasty. But the history of Cantonese at least over 2500 years ago.

  • hey does anyone have the MP3 for this ?

i love this song and especially in mandarin chinese. i wuld really appreciate it if someone culd get me the MP3 for this. thanks guys and girls. peace xx

  • 哈哈! 非常好听啊:)!

  • the lyrics for simba and nala are way different...

  • I think its awesome

  • Love it!!! But I cant find lyrics anywhere.. Can someone help me?

  • yes i am studying mandrin chinese as well but

it really doesn't fit this vid. mandrin uses a lot of x's y's z's in the language the letters we don't use much of but the are pronounced different much differently. it is inportant u use the right pronounciation.

  • i can see whats happening and they done have a clue, theyll fall in love and heres the bottom line are trios down to two.(oh) the sweet trelight of twilight theres magic in the air. and with all this romantic atmosphere disasters in the air.......

  • I can see what's happening.

    What?

And they don't have a clue.

    Who?

They'll fall in love and here's the bottomline, our Trio's down to two.

    Oh.

    The sweet caress of twilight.

    There's magic everywhere.

And with all this romantic atmosphere.

    Disaster's in the air.

  • what are you talking about?

  • The correct english lyrics compared to Sirus1441's. It's obvious.

  • yeah but why here?

  • It cannot be helped. You know users. They spam, they swear, etc.

For me, I know this here is Mandarin-Chinese. I just corrected Sirius so no one would fall for the wrong lyrics for the English version. Then again, I remembered some people talking about Ranma when the video is that of Yu Yu Hakusho. So it doesn't really matter much.

  • in Chinese it is Tamen liang shi yi dui!!!

It means they are a couple now!!

  • yeah.

    Ta Men = They

Liang = both (It can mean two as well)

    Shi = are

    Yi Dui = Couple

  • I love CHINA and i want to go to study there. I want to speak perfecty this beautiful language

  • i want the lyrics tooo

  • Really?! I speak both languages and i actually prefer the the manderin version over the cantonese this time!

  • ahh yeah read the title :S it says its in chinese.

  • i love thai version !!!! It's very Funnyyyyy & BeautifuLLLLLL

  • uhh.... it's chinese xD

  • I hate to be technical because it's a bad shade of dickishness but it's actually mandarin. Chinese could be anything from Cantonese to Mandarin to Wu.

  • does anyone have pinyin lyrics for this?:P

  • HAHA "poopie" :D

    My humor <3

  • I love this!! Thanks so much!! Does anyone have the Chinese lyrics? I want to learn this and sing to a certain someone hehe ;)

  • roguh?

I think you wanted to say roguh

By the way, we instead feel the Mandarin is too play-act.

  • i meant rough, if you werent smart enough to figure that out. Mandarin is hte original, cantonese is dying out slowly

  • Mandarin is hte original?

Hahathat showing you didn't have any knowledge about the Chinese history.

Cantonese is using in China since 3000 years ago. but mandarin ot over 300 years, it becaomes the official language in China just began in 1920's.

  • wow. ur an idiot! mandarin ahs been the offcial chinese language for thousands of years, and cantonese was only recently developed.

YOU obviously ahve no knowledge on chinese history. JEEZ

  • You aren't Chinese, are you?

Cantonese is a dialect of the Chinese. It can be considered a separate "language" all on it's own, cos it's got it's own grammar and stuff.

Not all people in China speak this.

Other dialects of the Chinese include: Teochew, Hokkien, Haka, Hokchew, Hainanese etc etc....

  • aaacccctually here's a useless peice of information.

cantonese is older than mandarin, which is suspected to have derived from it.

Mandarin is cantonese with an accent ;)

but in all seriousness Cantonese is older than Mandarin by quite a few hundred years.

  • i think the singing skill of cantonese version is better than this one

  • cantonese is too roguh

  • th4e lion king is totally a rip off of Kimba thw White Lion (1950s japanese manga. walt disney even met the creator, look it up), but i cant help loving it anyway.

    this is pretty. :)

  • Uh just one question, dumbfuck. If Disney met with the creater then how could it be a rip-off? You really need to get your head out of your ass and say something intelligent. have a nice day.

  • just becuase walt disney met the creator dosen't mean he got permission to make a movie of his work. the manga was copyrighted and the lion king was made after both walt disney and the writer of Kimba were dead. it ws once released in the US under "the jungle emperor" (google it moron) in fact, roy disney was recorded in an IM talking about his new movie idea, "the jungle king".

i've done my research, don't tell me to "get my head out of my ass" if you haven't done yours.

  • That, in no way, means it breaches copyright. The character has a different name and is drawn differently. You need to get your head out of your ass.

  • i never said it breaches copyright. since kimba's creator died, and the rights to the US version ran out, it was fair game. but its cheap of disney to deny it as an inspiration for the movie. the characters names are different, but very little. Kimba/Simba. in that IM with Roy disney discussing his new idea, he originally said the character's name would be Kimba. there was also an evil lion named Claw with a scar over his eye, who had help from hygenas named TIb and Tab...

  • Where can I read the story?

  • (continued)

the lion king has a parrot named Zazu, Kimba has Polly. in the lion king, Simba gets help from a wise and eccentric baboon named Rafiki, Kimba gets help from a wise and eccentric baboon named Dan'l Baboon. the equivelent to Nala is Kitty. both Kimba and Simba see the spirit of thier father in the clouds. the image of simba standing on pride rock at the end is very similar to one of kimba as an adult. and in earlier drawings, Simba was white like Kimba instead of yellow...
