I owened my first real guitar amp because of this song. Long time ago my father told me: If you learn to play this song, i will buy you a fender dual showman! So: Many thanks to Chat and my father......
Thanks ! and Thx for the education, I have that pic above ? meaning I must have the tune somewhere? lol I have been noticing something with most the Chet clips there are VERY few DIS likes and b.s. comments about that lol Must be the class of folks listening to it I suppose lol Just goes to show the idiots ARE listening to all that other wannabe music! Thanks Rick
@wichitarick Sometimes the pics don't match the postings. This is because I had only a limited number of Chet photos to go around with hundreds of tunes.
If you listen to the studio cut ,the first few bars of the song is played on the guitar solo in the exact image of Chet playing. It doesnt need words to mention the man, his style is all over it with the solo. Some times thats the way artists pay tribute. Its beautiful! *****
Taylor and Kruass know where this song came from. Krauss really knows her background in country music and mentioned Chet Atkins at one her concerts at Red Rocks, their respect show's when they cover a song from long ago.Its a timeless piece of music.
I think that the first few bars of the guitar of the Taylor /Alison rendition did just that in a symbolic format. I guese you have to be my age to pick up on it
Enjoyed.

Brilliant. You can hear the emotion in every note he plays.
Elvis used his voice just like this when singing this song.

Alison Krauss should give Chet the credit he deserves.

She and James never gave Chet his credit?

Who's credited? I saw the Louvin brothers miscredited elsewhere on the net. But yeah, it's Chet, music, Bryant wrote the lyric.
