Yes, Slash is 90% pentatonic. But he'll also mix in some mixolydian and dorian to give it a classical feel.

His playing is alot more relaxed than it sounds. Most of the work is done by the fretting hand. His right hand is typically slow.

Okay slash uses the mainly the pentatonic scale, if you know about guitar then you would know that the each lick was based off pentatonics, and its more like Kirk Hammett with the first and last lick, i don't know much about slash but i do his style is mainly pentatonics.

I love Jimi, but to me, he's really overated. He gets praised so much. but don't say anything, I love him and all, but way too many people love him for all the wrong reasons, Slash in my book, his style and ability to compose music like that is way different than any other guitarist. you don't know if Slash is drug free. My experience with people who have done hard drugs is it's a lifelong ordeal. I actually do like Slash's playing in general, especially the Apetite for Destruction stuff when the guy was wasted all the time. but comon, the guy is no electric guitar innovater the way a Hendrix, Clapton or Page is.

I'm fairly confident he's drug free. He did an interview on Letterman a few years back... he said that he had something go wrong with his heart and the doctors told him he only had two weeks to live, so I think he takes his health pretty seriously now, he's not an idiot.
