AV would have enabled politicians presently elected by a minority to believe they had over 50% of votes cast & would have rubbed pensioners noses in it- by forcing low paid people tolive on their savings in their 60's so rich people could have earnings related inflated pensions- Nick Pleb wants their votes? No - just to believe he has 50% of population vote for his Con even when 95% didn't.
im genuinely surprised Av didn't Pass. Surely it is more fair to the public because in the end the highest candidate gets the votes from the majority of voters? Its only the big parties Like Conservatives don't think its fair because they have to get of their lard asses and do some work in their strong holds.
AV doesn't make sense, but neither does FPTP as both are completely undemocratic! haha but it suits those in charge, we might as well put Labour and Conservative into an eternal coalition and ban any future elections - we'll get the same thing
AV+ makes plain simple sense to many this voting process would force our politicians to realise they worked for us,the UK citizens,the electorate,AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.they can fool the ppl soome of the time but you can't fool the ppl all the time
