  • aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwsoooooooooomeeeeee dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It must be porn.. most of the time tapes with no label is.

  • I have my rewinder somewhere like this it was the thing to get when they came out

  • I worked at a video store for 2 years. We had three of these (unfortunately, not cool like this one!), and they got a workout - we had LOTS of people who never rewound the tapes before bringing them back. I loved the claims of "Oh, I didn't have time," or "Oh, I forgot!" Just let the tape run out and the VCR handles it automatically - that's what I used to do with my own tapes and the ones I rented.

I do like that rewinder - very nice! :-)

  • this isnt some thing new ,theys were out in the mid 90's i saw a black car one at the video rental store, like 15 yrs ago

  • I used to have one of these back in the early 2000's. My little brother thought everything was a plaything and rolled it like a car from his big Hot Wheels collection. Since my old one broke I'd love to get a new one... that's because my VCR jams tapes if I try to rewind them then take them out!

  • @Chenoholic88

    Another one.

    3. Some people had VCRs whose rewind function wouldn't work (just ask anyone who have ever owned a Fisher VCR from the early-to-mid 1980s) but, instead of spending money to get the problem fixed, they just bought a VHS rewinder instead.

  • @Chenoholic88 "I don't really see what the point was of these machines since just about all VCRs have a rewind function."

    1. Saves the deck from mechanical wear and tear.

    2. If your VCR rewinds the cassette with the tape still threaded, using a rewinder will save the video heads from unnecessary wear. Some VCRs, such as a Panasonic AG-1980, have replacement heads that cost in excess of $150, even today.

However, most VHS rewinders made are bad as they're very hard on the tape.

  • this is why we have dvd's and most newer vcr's i dont think will wear the tape down like in the 80's

  • @pretyinpunk1

With DVDs and Blu-Ray Disc, pretty much. I still have my VCRs, but only because I still have recordings that haven't been transferred to disc yet. When I watch movies from my collection, it's mainly from disc.

As for newer VCRs, they can still inflict wear on tape in normal use, especially in play as the tape still must have tension to travel correctly in the path and make proper contact with the heads. Also, I've found some newer transports tend to be rougher on the tape.

  • SOUND SCRACHING ALL THE VHS 0:37 SCRACHING COMPLETE

  • I had the same one except mine was red.

  • rofl those use to be so fun. had a blue one with lightup headlights.

  • I GOT ONE OF THOSE but its a corvet red

  • This was the greatest toy I ever had as a child.. yeah it was my parents.. but it also made a great Batmobile for my action figure... and thats how I broke it.. shoved batman in there too many times and it never closed again.. it worked for a while with duct tape but.. it was useless.

  • Does anyone know where I can get a DVD rewinder? I don't want to wear out my new DVD player like I did my old one.

  • @jrcstudios DVD's don't Need to be Rewinded! Every time you play A DVD , just press Play on the Menu!

  • @ThePaddyjoejr1 Here's your sign.

  • @jrcstudios And what does that Mean?

  • @ThePaddyjoejr1 'Here's Sour Sign' is a slogan made popular by the comedian Bill Engval. It is used when someone say or does something so stupid that, by law, they should be required to hold a sign that say's 'I'm Stupid' where ever they go. From the exchange between you and jrcstudios, I can deduce that you never knew about the gag-gift that came out over ten years ago when DVD's were replacing VHS's. By not knowing, he called you stupid and spoke as though handing you your sign back.

  • @Raidenko91 Well, that slime is A Nub! Also it takes one to know One!

  • @ThePaddyjoejr1 Don't shoot the messenger. I just notice that after all this time, no one had answered your question.

  • @Raidenko91 I Know that! i Did NOT mean you, that was for ! @ircstudios What ever it is.

  • @ThePaddyjoejr1 Okay. Well then, much love and tolerance to you.

  • @Raidenko91 Thank You.

  • @ThePaddyjoejr1, Swing and a miss.

  • @R33Racer WHAT?

  • @jrcstudios try using your cd drive then try to erase your dvd hahahha alol

  • ...hmmm...

Sounds like your car won't start...

Try jump-starting it, and if that doesen't work, turn it off then back on again.

  • i still have mine its black though =)

  • Old VCR players didn't have the rewind function.

  • I've never heard of any VCR that didn't have the rewind function. The reason why rewinders were made was to prevent possible wear and tear from rewinding the tape within the VCR itself.

  • @Teraforce88

Actually some early camcorder would drain the battery when using the rewind feature. So it was easier to rewind separately before watching the tape.

    Other camcorders were record only!

  • @reese4mestern Hmmm.. I have a VCR so old it has a wired remote... with rewind. I'd like to see a VCR with no rewind function. I'd buy it just for the excuse at the video rental store!

  • Oh my goodness... I used to have a red rewinder like this, also by Kinyo.

  • Hahaha, that thing is so cool! But it makes me wonder: who gets ideas like this and why?

I've never seen a tape rewinder like this XD

But this carpet is extremely familiar oO I used to have that in my last appartment.

  • i used to have one of these too! and it is quite amusing that you took the time to put this video on here.

    but im glad you did.

  • It's neat old items that you don't see anymore....why do you watch it if you think it's horrible?

  • if ur a pro you had a rewinder

  • Very neat but useless utensil since the VCR already has a rewind function, but still very neat.

  • To save wear and tear ON the VCR.

  • i Have the same !!!!1 but it red :)

  • I used to have a car-shaped one of these...It was a red 4-door though, and had headlights and taillights that lit up....

  • Dat's a cute rewinder. I wish mine looked like dat.

  • i had one of these it was red

  • idk why but im really baked and that made me laugh my ass off....kinda like the dvd rewinder haha

  • Sounds like an engine from a Chevy Pinto

  • i saw one of these but it was a 57 chevy

  • lol sorry but its slow i go faster wits my hands

  • that is um cool

  • looks like a Nazca C2 or a Vector M12

  • wow where did u get that? that looks cool :D

  • ummmmmmm ok looks cool i guess
