Have you read the opposition book "misquotes in misquoting jesus" by Dillon Burroughs? Not taking either side, but I would be curious to know your overall verdict.
@GuojiPiaoke I have skimmed through the list of books that he's written, and there seems to be a reoccurring message of 'defend one's faith' and 'biblical inerrancy.' I don't know what his current religious view is, but I don't read evangelical material. In regards to his response to Ehrman's book, I don't intend to read it. After reading some of the reviews on Amazon, it doesn't seem worth while. But thanks for the curiosity.

I had stopped being a Christian at the end of last year. After I studied the historical aspect, I lost all faith, and realized the truth. Glad I didn't get baptized.

my realization that no died for my sins was actually unrelated to how I stopped believing in a personal God. I came to believe that God didn't exist when I learned of the 1918 influenza, which affected half a billion people, with over 50 million dead. Where was God then? I guess no one is the Lord of this world.
Furthermore, studies show that praying to someone seriously ill (Cancer) and letting know that people are praying for them actually significantly worstens their conditions with many statistical evidance to support it. They're lead to believe, "oh, people are praying for me. That must mean I'm about to die".
Besides, the idea of living forever is terrifying.
Eternity is a long time. I'd be sick of existance when I get to my 2000th year.

I find it sickening when these pastors use pious cliches when praying with the dying. do they really think that God will heal that individual? how about the ones who don't get prayed for? does God pick and choose? prayer is actually a last resort. there's no divine intervention. life's all about luck and timing.
It might be nice to be invisible after death, and fly around and see whats going on. you know, see and spy on hot girls, etc.
