  • altra ROBA!!

  • Dont have any doubt bout this horse till if it ggets beat ! simple

  • Concur GBeret. Weight would be the only question remaining for me. But what is less than 4 kilos going to have on Frankelstein still a lot maturing to look forward to as well. His towering frame reminds me of Hay List. His sectional times I have not compared against Caviar, This would be interesting. I would hasten to say their bursts would be close. And Rocket Man would be in awe of them both in my eyes. Both great animals that have pretty much given me a passion for this sport of Kings.

  • @anaconda6669 Black Caviar has run a tick over 10 secs per 200m when the track is dry. Frankel has only managed that only at Goodwood, where they run downhill the whole length of the straight. The pattern of his racing is similar to Hay List, and we can see what she has done to him. Had Hay List gone to Ascot, he'd have won the King Stand and Golden Jubilee, taking a line through Star Witness. I don't know about Newmarket. Aussie sprinters seem to struggle up the hill.

  • I'm not sure that Frankel will ever be beaten in his career? If he does ever suffer a loss, I think it will be next season if connection's decide to stretch him out to middle distances. But one thing I am certain of, Frankel will never be beaten over a mile. There's no horse in racing, not Canford Cliffs, not Goldikova, nor any other turf miler that has an answer to the kind of acceleration that Frankel possesses at a mile. TJMO.

  • @GBeret83 Depends on where his connections place him. If they are prepared to stretch him to 10f, they might find a chink in his armour. If they decide to line him up in international sprints, he will be beaten if he meets the Usain Bolt of sprinters, Black Caviar. At a mile, though, I will reserve judgment until he meets and beats the real Canford Cliffs, and Goldikova, closer in the weights. That should be at his next start. He had everything go his way in the Sussex Stakes.

  • @GBeret83 How do you think Danedream will measure up to other Arc contenders? I viewed the Grosser Preis Von Baden win, run on a soft track. She has beaten Joshua Tree by 7 lens, admittedly with a huge pull in the weights.

  • @SvendBosanvovski, Difficult to say? I saw the replay of the Preis Von Baden, and I have to say I was really surprised at the relative ease in which Danedream beat Joshua Tree in that race. The Arc is usually an awfully deep field. And even with Pour Moi retired, there's still a lot of really good French 3yr.old's lining up for that race that will get a big weight break. I.E., Reliable Man, Galikova, Golden Lilac, and Meandre. Frankly, I believe her chances are better in the B.C. F&M Turf. JMO.

  • @GBeret83 We know now GB. Great win, was it not?

  • What a race, what a horse indeed. Magnificent.

But my first thought on seeing that 4 horse field was, "Since when did they move the Glorious Goodwood meet to Hollywood Park?"

  • Every time I watch the replay of this race, I shake my head in bewilderment!! The burst of speed that Frankel uncorked in this race was so unbelievable that it made him look almost more like a machine than a horse. Everyone has seen what a devastating turn of foot that Canford Cliffs has put to use over the past 2 seasons. But I believe you could've taken the 8lbs. away from Canford Cliffs and added it to Frankel in this race, and it still wouldn't have effected the outcome. TJMO.
